A neat simple hotel with basic accommodation. However, it's clean and the staff really makes a huge difference. They were very friendly and helpful with giving us input and suggestions to make the most of our stay in Rome. I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again myself, next time in Rome.

Staff were all brilliant. Ali, in particular was a fun, friendly and very welcoming host. His advice was superb and he saved us a lot of too-ing and fro-ing while getting about in Rome. His English skills are extremely good and we had no trouble at all chatting to him about any detailed information we needed. The building has lots of history and character. The courtyard garden, with abundant fruit trees is just lovely and a perfect place to chill. The breakfast coffee and basket of goodies was a great start to our days there. Our stay at Hotel Lodi was a happy one - with lots of great memories. Thanks!

Good place to stay at Rome. Quite close to Coloseum, and a great pizza behind the aqueduct. Clean, cosy with small garden, where you can eat breakfast. Best value!

Staff is very nice and location is decent. This seems to be a family oriented place so don't expect any parties or much socializing

Staff are very helpful, and knowledgeable. They helped us figure out bus routes to take to go where we wanted to, and also helped us plan our trip. The location is really close to a bus stop that takes you all the way to the cool sightseeing places. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well, to eat. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Worst employee I've ever dealt with in my life. Clearly walking into other rooms to snort some coke only to come back and berade us over his uncontrollable paranoia about police knocking down our door in the night if we didn't provide Id. After booking a room, spending the remainder of my money on transportation there, and then PROVIDING VALID ID upon arrival, he refused to allow my boyfriend and i to stay claiming that we weren't 18 and that if the police came they would shut down the hostel. I gave him a passport and a valid license, at which point he called his boss claiming there was nothing he could do, only pace back and forth furiously as he went and did some more coke. Worst experience at any business I've ever encountered in my life. Horrible.

Super friendly staff, if you ever gave staff in a hostel 10/10 this von gets 11/10,super helpful informations about the city: they in 2 minutes a really good and realistic plan what to see in our 2 day stay in Rome and how to get there cheaply. They even packed our tent for us when it started raining when we were not there , which they had now problem of letting it dry in there super amazing and really atmospheric garden, which also serves as nice public room. The WiFi is OK, same with bathrooms and rooms, everything you would expect from a nice hostel in Italy. Our room had no access only fan, but that is totally OK and what you can expect for this price (just stop complaining) Feels really save and location is also OK: 12 minute walk to the metro (but your going to walk the whole day whilst exploring Rome so that's not a bumper)
Breakfast was nice for 3,50 euro : coffee /tea/capuchino (or 2) & a glass of juice & 2 good croissants (or other sweet pastries).
Only con: you can't cook in the kitchen, because they would need to get a restaurant license, but everything else (fridge, plates, knifes, water boiler) Can be used by anyone. Definitely Recommended!

Low budget hotel. You would be happier if you kept that in mind.

Pros: low cost, in a fine neighborhood, clean, helpful staffs except the one in charge of the check-in.

Cons: simple breakfast - continental breakfast without eggs, small bathroom, only two outlets in the whole room, interior is aged, poor water control in shower - people got burned or shock during shower. The WiFi was very very slow. More suitable for 1 or 2 travellers.
