The place looks lovely and has clearly been worked on quite hard to look like it does. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, no issues with speaking English. Unfortunately they were let down by the food being a bit sub-par. I can't say whether this was an isolated incident, the seafood pasta was pretty good to be fair, the ceasar salad was not. The staff were very kind about it and left it off the bill.
Hopefully I'll have a chance to visit again and amend the rating accordingly.

Cozy place, seemed to be a lot of locals here. I had the Jack Daniels bacon jam burger. It was nice but I would prefer some more seasoning in the minced meat!

Good place for dinner. Poor options for vegetarians. Non-veg is good. Drinks are fine. Not much delay in service. Friendly staff.

Excellent food. Terrible service. We were there around 3pm and were one of maybe three tables. The waitress visited twice. She seemed apathetic and stood at the bar talking to her other waitress friends. She did not discuss the specials and seemed to know nothing about the menu. Sad, because this used to be my favorite restaurant in Reykjavik.

Mexico salad was a major disappointment, mostly just iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, crumbled up nachos and pieces of over seasoned chicken. Very mayonnaisy dressing.

    Good service though.

It's gone downhill, both the menu and the quality of the food.

The patio was nice and sunny, the service was kind and quick and the food was great. Plus they offer brunch until 4 on Sundays! Would recommend 👍🏼

Indifferent service proffering a confusingly bad beer selection in an atmosphere I imagine was calculated to be "hip" but felt more like a failed boutique hotel lobby. That said, the vegetarian nut-based loaf entree was surprisingly tasty.

There is a bar there and the drinks they made us were good but not amazing. The staff seemed pretty scattered and not super on top of what was going on. The place was crowded but there seem to be a lot of staff just hanging out.

Food was delicious and the ambiance is an oasis from the tourist craze that sits less than a block away. I would give five stars, but our server failed to register that I was allergic to mushrooms even though I explained that twice. Many of the servers seems lost or in their own world. To each their own I guess, but not at the expense of an obvious health risk. Luckily I had medicine after I picked out as many as I could, so I didn't let that ruin the experience although had I been someone else the situation could have more dangerous/detrimental.

Definitely a trendy looking place to grab a bite to eat or just a couple of drinks. Great selection of beers and wines and a great cocktail menu, too. We didn't try any, but saw a few leaving the bar and they all looked fantastic.

The food menu is huge, as are the portions. We got a couple of cheeseburgers topped with mushrooms and bacon and a side of fries. One plate would have sufficed between the two of us. They were very tasty, though, and arrived very quickly. Service was friendly and efficient, though we did have to remind our waitress that we had ordered a glass of red wine, even after my drink had arrived. Other than that, I couldn't have asked for more.

The waitress at the door was very helpful to get a good seat with our pushchair/ stroller. However thereafter it was down hill. The waitress at our table was rude, to give only one example: she hit the stroller ones by accident, then kicked it because it was in her way while our baby was asleep in there. Then the food came and it was awful, because I had a burned pizza (yes, completely black bottom!) and my hubbies burger was of poor quality.
