We had the Icelandic feast
Everything was really tasty and cooked to perfection. Good service, nice staff. Can recommend this to anyone, specially tourists that haven't tasted some of this Icelandic food
Thanks sushi social for a nice evening
Great restaurant, interesting dishes, surf and turf Maki was excellent, grilled salmon was cooked perfectly, interesting sashimi
Service was great
Very trendy restaurant, would recommend for night out with friends
Cozy restaurant with a menu for sushi lovers and a lot of choises for non sushi lovers so everybody can go and enjoy a nice evening together, also a very nice staff
Brilliant atmosphere, fun and upbeat. Not too noisy you can hear each other speak. Wait staff are pleasant and attentive.
Great atmosphere, great service and visibly trending amongst locals. So, it was great. 4 stars because I was not overwhelmed by the creative dishes served. In the end, the food didn't wow me, but maybe next time :-)
We visited Social Sushi for the New Year's Eve reveyion and we had one of the best dinners ever! We order the Sashimi party as you can see below and a bottle of Chardonnay, for a budgeting dinning experience. This sashimi variation was a mindful way to enjoy various fish types from tuna, to salmon, octopus and scallops. Every flavour was intensive, authentic, fresh to emerge flavours that we have never experienced to be so unique! The price was reasonable for Iceland (91£) and we were delighted with the result. Highly recommended for Asian cuisine lovers, and people who like infusions of various cuisines under specialty dishes!
Perfect for dates, anniversaries and generally for couples!! I strongly recommend it if you want romantic atmosphere, tasty food and kind great service! I recommend the sashimi party for starter!
Great atmosphere, great food, awesome music.
The complementary bread with the basil sauce is out of this world.
5stars on everything
I can highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere and great food. The cocktails are incredible and worth every kronur you spend on them! Have dinner here!
Hmmmm, get yourself some of that yummy Puffin and then follow that down with a slab of Minky Whale.
And being Iceland not a cent less than astronomically priced.
Not for me thanks
Honestly the best sushi I've ever had. It's somewhat expensive, but absolutely worth it. Prices totally fair. Do yourself a favour and try the surf n turf roll!
My date and I recently stopped in for drinks and sushi. Daniel was making the rounds and was very attentive to all the guests' needs. My date fell in love with the pineapple 🍍 glass and Daniel made it possible for us to buy one and take it home. ❤️
Grest sushi - very (too) sweet Mojitos. Would love to come back.
Good atmosphere, drinks and food. Sushi is slightly too loaded with rice for this price range. Really good, filling starters
Disappointed- expected better after reading the reviews. Disappointed to see whale and puffin on the menu. Sushi was average at best. Avocado fries were bland breaded wedges of avocado - would not recommend them. Service was rushed- very difficult to get a server's attention.
This place was packed when we arrived but it was still only a short wait, and well worth it. The Icelandic tasting menu looked great but it was seven courses so we just opted for a few. It was a nice mix of Japanese and Icelandic cuisines, and the cocktails were just as awesome.
Excellent food and not only sushi. Worth a visit.
Had the Icelandic feast which was an interesting introduction to some of Iceland's local ingredients. Everything was very tasty except the icelandic roll which was subpar. Not sure if it was typical, but we waited almost an hour between 2 of the courses and were there for nearly 3 hours total. We weren't in much of a rush, so it didn't bother us too much, but it did seem odd.
Great food and service. One of my dishes took a little long, which I was fine with, and the waitress brought me a shot of Brennivin while I waited to make up for it. Great place for dining alone as you can order small plates as needed.
Had a horrible experience dinning there. Asked specifically for vegetarian salad, but only after eating noticed some pieces of meat from this cute Puffin bird. Baaaaahh!
Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The best sushi in Reykjavik. They have a "smoked whiskey sour" on the menu, but unfortunately their smoker was broken so I only drank a regular whiskey sour, but it was great too.
The restaurant is great for groups, but has suitable seating for individual diners.
