Beautiful hotel and location. They do an aurora wake up call and thanks to that I was able to see the northern lights in the middle of the night. The design of the lobby and rooms is beautiful - definitely a luxury property! Staff were excellent and the guy who ran the restaurant was welcoming and full of energy.

Beautiful hotel. Food is amazing, great location to view the lights (ha - in the car park but it's still beautiful!!), Lovely little geothermal area, rooms spacious. Fantastic hotel in the middle of nowhere!

Everything was excellent, in excellent condition. Staff wonderful, friendly, very helpful (had car problems and they immediately got on the phone in my behalf) and patient. Glacier was closed for many days due to the Orkan Winds, rain, snow (=also no Northern Light opportunity) and they were so nice and full of suggestions what you could do instead even though they had to say a million times. Very personal rapport. Food delicious, great wine. Breakfast buffet terrific. Can hardly wait for my next visit - the glacier cave and northern lights are still on my bucket list. Drive out there is really easy too.

Expensive but worth paying for. The place is cozy and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Surrounded by pure and beautiful nature. The restaurant is quite expensive but the quality of the food is undeniable. We ate very good.

Really nice, ultra modern hotel. Rooms are ideally suited to outdoor activities (nice storage for hiking equipment for example). Note that it's kind of isolated and the only places to eat are really expensive.

We were on a self guided tour and our expectations were fairly low so when we arrived here and saw the spectacular, modern, and beautifully appointed hotel we were more than pleased. Though it is new it has garnered a fine reputation for service and comfort.(The restaurant was PACKED on Friday night with people from as far away as Reykjavik!)
I was also impressed by the security (keys access to hallways) and the staff's helpful attitude.
We soaked in the pools, ate VERY good food at the attached restaurant, and took a day trip with "Into the Glacier", the adventure tour located there.
They have a Northern Lights wake up service in case you need it, a more that comfortable lounge area, and all else one would expect from a fine hotel.
Highly recommended!

Stayed there in November. Thanks to their Northern Light- wake up call system, we saw the beautiful Northern Light!

Clean and efficient. Can set up a northern lights alert with the front desk. Enough outlets. All rooms gound level. Small bar and decent sized restaurant. Problem is, very noisy due too roof design
Friendly and efficient staff. Electronic door locks. Ample parking and place for buses.

The restaurant: the best food we have had in our 7 days road trip around the country - absolutely mind blowing.
The hotel: the biggest scam I have ever seen in a hotel. Not surprisingly, it is managed by a different company than the restaurant’s. Vulgarly overpriced, tiny rooms, no amenities and pathetic facilities. The location ? A dumpster in comparison to the beautiful spots you can stay at for a fraction of a price.
Bottom line: Don’t be fooled by reviews or by a deceiving New York Times article: Stop here for an incredible meal and get back in your car to explore this stunning country.

OK looking camp ground however front desk was not polite as well as lied about room pricing. She also tried to charge us more than the 1500 charge for a campsite and told us we would also have to pay 800 on top of that, don't go here for camping they don't want you there. If you want a room order it online instead of talking to them directly for it. Better option, find better accommodations with exceptionally polite staff

Hotel husafell was one of the nicest places we stayed in Iceland. It has a pool included, safes and a fridge in the room, which frankly none of the other places that we stayed had. It's on a neat historic old farm and there's a really cool lava cave nearby. I highly recommend if you have the budget for it, it's a little pricey but worth it.

Excellent time here. Not the most exciting location due to its remoteness but if you are searching for quiet, solitude, natural and architectural beauty you'll find it here. Local activities include adventures to the nearby glacier and cave, golfing, hiking trails and night time skywatching.

The hotel is very new, overall design is aesthetically pleasing. Everything is clean and quiet. Natural hot pools are a step above the typical hotel pool/hot tub, I only wish they were open earlier for a morning soak before checkout. Staff is very friendly.

Dinner at the restaurant was exquisite. Views are great. Lamb and fish were both delicious, made even better by the gentleman host/waiter who clearly takes pride in his food and service (this could be said for all the staff I encountered). He may also be the friendliest person in Iceland. Would definitely stay again and would encourage anyone visiting to stay at least one night here even if they were not planning to visit this particular part of the island.

Hotel Husafell was great! The staff were nice, helpful and friendly! There isn't much around Husafell but it's a beautiful area. There's a small bistro that is somehwat associated with the hotel but has much better prices and that is pretty much it for the area. The pool and playground are nice as well. We went on a trip to the glacier close by and it was amazing!!

Great facilities. There is a kitchen area with a stove and laundry. The downside was that other people at the campsite were very noisy, past midnight, and the quiet hours were not enforced.

Very nice Nordic design in a very, very quiet part of Iceland. Based on price, I did not think that this hotel came close to being a value. Including tax, we paid US$435 for a night and a comfortable and nicely-designed room. However, other than the hotel geothermal swimming pool, and one waterfall complex nearby, there's really not much to do in the area and the hotel restaurant is very expensive (but nice). We unfortunately arrived at the same time as a tour bus which took up most of the hotel. Not sure how often this happens but it makes for a less pleasant experience.

Had a wonderful time here while visiting Iceland with friends. Our waiter whose name I believe is (forgive the spelling!) Gunnar was the main reason this night was one of our favorites. Great service, very kind, and a welcome presence. Thank you for helping us create memory we'll never forget! Highly recommend to anyone passing through the area.

Great service breakfast menu is tp westernized people come to Iceland for authentic local quisine. Dinner was same options at same high price as all other hotels. Was very tasty and service was fantastic.

We had an amazing stay here. The deluxe room we were upgraded to was beautiful, the overall hotel and staff are all very nice, dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and they have a geothermal pool on site. The staff was very helpful in our search to see the northern lights, as well as anything else we needed during our stay. The location is also nice and remote, making for a great romantic stay in the country. Just be willing to spend a few extra dollars for the room and for dinner, as this place isn't the most affordable option in Iceland. I would say the price is worth it though.

Only had the chance to check out the hotel's restaurant but: best burger I ever had!! Perfect meat, rucola salad, crisp bacon and if you ask you get truffles mayonnaise to your curly fries!! :D Personnel is really polite, fast and always on good mood. The hotel is modern and I really like the architecture both from the in- and outside. Located close to the glacier makes this hotel really special. If you are near you should take a visit!
