Great campsite with cute place to sit and meet other travelers. One of the few private free campsites in Iceland. The showers cost 500isk. There is a donation box. Please consider giving a small amount to keep places like this alive!

Very nice people. The showers and WC were tidy. The camp is perched near the South shore of Iceland. A great site for storm watching.

Family run free camping with clean toilets and shower for a small fee.
We visited in February (kitchen facilities are closed during winter season) and the family let us into their home to cook in their kitchen. Very nice people!

I was SO DONE with camping. Couldn't wait to sleep somehwere warm. But as it was our last night and couldn't find a room for less than 120$ we opted for this camping.
It was NOT a mistake!!!! Loved everything about it and felt really good. Great ground for tent camping. Beautiful mist. Fresh eggs can be purchased for cheap. I could have camped here more than a night. The owners are very nice and hard working.

Wonderfull place, situated by the Ocean. You can find there everything what you need to camping - shower, toilet, kitchen and peace.

Perfect place for stay, surprisingly clean and cosy, with sufficiently equipped kitchen. And they have a selection of free leftovers! Like gas cartridges, Coffee etc. Just do not forget to donate at least to cover the expenses for gas and water.

Very nice and clean campsite. Showers are 500 ISK. Just ask the key to the lovely lady at the little gift shop. Small cooking place, free to stay.

Great camping side! Everything you need is there and it's totally free to stay here. Very nice place, there is also the possibility to cook. I can highly recommend to stay here!

Great campside! Very clean and silent. Loved the waffels and coffee from the tiny shop! We also had duck eggs. Great experience!

Lovely little camp site. Very friendly people. Drinks and snacks available. Good birdwatching site and a lovely little church down the road towards the sea. There was a fabulous aurora the night I was there too. Will be there again in a few weeks time.

This place is awesome. Come stay here. Bathrooms, kitchen, showers (500 isk but everything else is free), run by the sweetest people, they have a little shop to sell knitted things and snacks and there's a basket of fresh duck eggs from their farm you can buy to cook yourself breakfast! We're so happy to spend our last night in Iceland here. Seriously.
