I didn't like the stay in the hut. We were force to pitch the tent about 200-300 meter down on the slope, while the toilets were near the hut. You are forced to pay for pitching the tent, however you are getting nothing for money.
Clean toilets but with no running water a bit smelly, ok huts for sleeping, good camping area - can get veru windy
Didnt like this place too much. Windy and full of ash. We had only a lunch there and decide to took another 12 km to make it up to Alftavatn campsite. Good decision, but the trail from Hrafntinnusker to Alftavatn was amazing! I guess this was the best parth of whole trail.
Rough campsite. The facilities are not clean, even by camping standards. It is incredibly windy and gets cold on summer nights. In order to stay safe from the wind you have to build a barrier with rocks around your tent and then stake it down. If you are lucky you might have a barrier from last time but not a great experience.
Great Hut in a very special location on the "Laugavegur" trail.
Very windy, open space for camping. High in mountains so expect a snow.
