  To be honest there's not much to see. An old structure that was re-built in modern times. It's the site of the beginning of the study of archaeology in Iceland, but it's very limited. We were in the area so we stopped by.

  For unknown reasons, we got the impression that this was more built-up than it was so finding a few rocks in a house was a little disappointing. Still, always nice to see something historic but it is a crazy drive there. (We actually enjoyed the drive). Picnic tables, a nice small river with some rapids, a real toilet. Go here if you want an excuse to -almost- go off road, or if you are a serious history nerd.

  A little bit off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Ruins of a Viking settlement, there isn't much here other than that so be aware

  History and archeology geeks will love this place, but there isn't much to see for the rest of us. That said, it's very close to Gjain, which makes it an easy visit.
