Incredible! Must see!
We stopped at Diamond Beach for a night with our camper while circumventing the Ring road. It is an amazing place with absolutely stunning views! Seeing the pieces of clear ice from the glacier move from the lake to the sea was awesome. The area is perfect for camping as there are toilet facilities, rubish bins and a lot of space. Waking up and seeing the stunning views was great! Definitely a must see if you are in Iceland!

Very cool place to walk around. We came after doing a boat tour in the lagoon. There were icebergs all over the beach that were carried down the river from the glacier!

This is an amazing place. Black sand beach with icebergs floating out to sea. Icebergs are also washed up on the beach. This is a perfect place for a photo opportunity. I was hear in March of 2018 and can't wait to return someday.

If you visit the nearby glacial lagoon, make sure you visit diamond beach.

Very impressive Beach - All over the beach are big ice floas. They look like big diamonds in the sun. We were lucky to have a sunny day! Very busy area and full of tourists. So hard to find a spot for your own

If you travel the Ringroad you have to stop!
Big parking slots and a coffee house with toilets.

This is a great place to visit and your tour of south Iceland. I spent a lot of time here walking up the beach, just before sunset and it was lovely.

Amazing pictures when there is ice on the beach. Some days there is no ice some days there is too much ice to where the beach looks unnatural.

Breathtakingly beautiful outlet of the glacial lagoon. Amazing black sand beach littered with glacier ice. Definitely a must see if you are in Iceland.

Wow. Just wow. This has too be the most beautiful beach in the world! Lots of parking for quite a lot of tourists. Went when there were only about 50 people there. It was absolutely stunning. For your information, please DO NOT CLIMB ON THE ICE (police have been called before). Anyway, back to what it actually looks like, it was awesome. Lots of ice and the ice is really shiny and beautiful (and good for taking pictures of) because of the sand scratching off all the muck (so I've been told). Would definitely recommend it. Good for kids aswell. Best thing I've seen.

This might be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Well not for its oportunities for swimming or sun bathing of course. Yet with all those little icebergs washed ashore and then slowly melting on the black sand, this is a view to remember. As the name says, those thousands of little peaces of ice look just like diamonds spread all over the beach. If you're lucky and come in time to see the sunset (time varying heavily depending on the season) this will make an even more special moment. Well because it's southern Iceland it will probably rain though

This is just an amazing place to witness. It's like a different world. Black sand beach with random chunks of crystal clear ice scattered across the beach.

This is where you want to go to interact with big pieces of glacier ice.
I personally think you can create better pictures than the Jokulsaron glacier which is right across the street.
This is where the pieces of ice washes out and end up in the shore.

Spectacular place to visit when we went in the first week in November. The black sand was littered with glistening fragments of ice ranging in size from a few centimetres across to several metres. The colours varied from crystalline white to green and black. There is a car park on the west side of the bridge which crosses the river which flows from the glacial lake but beware of the pot-holes. From the east side of the bridge you can get access to the other side of the river and also the cafe. A magical place to visit.

A beach like no other You can see actual glaciers washed ashore and even sit/stand on a few to take photos. Black volcanic sand, and the huge rocks of ice actually stand out like pieces of diamonds on them. Wonderful!

Great place to have a walk. Nice to be able to play with bits of glaciers. Very full of tourists but they dont distract too much from the beauty of the place. If you are lucky you can also see some seals they often get very close to the beach.

Aloha! One of the Most Beautiful Beach I have ever seen. An amazing view of blocks of Ice all over the beach. So unique creates such a surreal experience.

A great spot to see where small pieces of shattered icebergs wash up ashore. They're spectacularly pretty, ranging from tiny diamond pebbles to crystals the size of cars. Be careful around them: they can be *extremely* sharp.

A tremendous work of nature! Glacier ice runs down into a lagoon which meets with the Atlantic ocean. The waves from the ocean help break down the ice and polish it along the beach, creating some beautifully crafted chunks of polished glacier ice, which look like huge diamonds. It's great to see such natural phenomena at work and be able to witness the before and after! Tour buses from Reykjavik seem to go this far so it can be quite busy at times but there is plenty of room to walk around. There's also a café with washrooms on sight.

I love black beach sand. Its not something you see everywhere. I came during winter and I was lucky enough to see pieces of ice on the beach. The tour guy said there are only a couple of beaches in the world with ice on the beach and this was one of them. It was beautiful black sand with pieces of blue ice on the sand. How cool is that?? This is a big beach so you will need several hours here.

If you're visiting Jokulsarlon anyways, it'd be worth your time to check out diamond beach. You just have to turn the opposite direction, and you're there. It really looks like diamonds in the sand. I came for sunrise, and it was magical, as lame as I feel saying that, it was. The sky had so many colors and it made the view that much more beautiful.
