I was here roughly 3 weeks ago we stopped for eggs and fuel but were so distracted by the delicious food that we forgot them. Not only is the lamb great, they have beer. And the employees are super friendly! This was one of the most memorable stops we made, odd enough! Oh and great views while you eat. They serve sheeps head.

The staff are lovely here, we were after an afternoon snack and the lady behind the counter gave us 3 huge portions of apple pie for the price of one! The lamb and fish looked great as well and seemed to be really well priced.

My suggestion is take the nearby side road, get up close to the glacier then head back here for some food!

Can also get fuel if needed.

The best meal in Iceland for entire trip (5 days). And definitely the best value for that price.
For 2990 ISK you will get buffet dinner with variety of choices: meat, salad, fish, pasta, cold dishes, fruit salad and tea/coffee. And the food is very delicious, especially salmon with lemon.
For sure don't regret to travel 14 km from my hotel at Hof to eat here.

Delicious food, home style. The lamb shanks with mushroom gravy and au gratin potatoes where so good. The platter includes the salad bar, which included fresh tomatoes, grilled artichokes and a lovely arctic char salad.

Google lists this as a gas station, but there is a restaurant inside.

Compared to every other restaurant i have been to in Iceland, this one probably had the best deal for dinner. For $3000 ISK, they had a dinner buffet with pork ribs, lamb roast, fish, potatoes, vegetables, salad bar, caramel pudding, and coffee/tea. Imagine my surprise when they let me get second helpings. Understandably, their only concern was not wasting food. Take just a little at first to try it, then get more if you like it. The food tasted awesome.

Don't know if that is everyday or just the day we went.

They also had a hamburger deal (beef, chicken, or veggie) that came with fries and bottle of soda for $1450 ISK. Burger and fries were pretty good (for Iceland).

The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

Popular destination for tour busses, and for meeting points for tour groups. Word to the wise, do not bring your own food to eat at the tables, you will be kicked out by head chef.

Excellent veggie burger and seasoned fries. The potatoes au gratin can be subbed for fries if you like. We were very impressed.
