Room was decent. Food was good. I just felt the room could have been a bit cleaner. My bed had a lot of someone elses hair and same with the bathroom floor.

Perfect location if you want to be downtown.. Not so practical of you have a cat as its very central downtown.. But doable. Nice quality

Some minor things that could do with improvements. Rooms are quite small for a 4* and the bathrooms really need to be more private. The glass walls around it are opaque but in general not a good feature. Otherwise clean and tidy. Spa is nice but chargeable. Excellent location for centre which made trips and eating out very accessible.

Nice boutique hotel in the centre of town, which is both a positive and negative in that it's close to all the action, but you can also then hear it from your room as well.

The staff there are great, breakfast choice excellent. There are a lot of good restaurants in the city, so we didn't give the evening menu a chance. I think the hotel would benefit from promoting it's restaurant a little more, perhaps a discount for guests - whatever so that there would be a little be more activity and life in the bar/evening area.

Really central hotel and does everything it says on the website. Small and dark but that’s a good point as it’s boutique and cool. I went for the deluxe room which gives a great sofa to laze in, good option.
A charge for the spa (pool and sauna) is a bit off but it’s a minor charge.
In all a great wee place for a few days on holiday. Would not choose if you were on business as no work desk (in my room) and only go if you are really comfortable with your partner. The toilets are glass walls so you see and hear everything. I’m 24 years married so no real shocks!
Breakfast is great. Staff really friendly & helpful. Street parking only but it’s not too dear.
    Enjoy.

Spent a good week at the place.
Good quality/price ratio. Not too much experience in Iceland though
Breakfast could be better as well. It's not bad with the usual basic options but we could have more veg options.
Lunch food was missing vegan options

Excellent hotel great service. Very clean, friendly helpful staff particularly the reception girls. We had room 415 which is at the top on the corner with goods views. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Bathroom lights in our room a bit dimm/low light other than that very happy and would recommend. Parking is very limited and you have to pay as they are public spaces.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and kept clean daily. The included breakfast buffet always hit the spot and was a great way to start off the day.

STAY HERE: Great, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Great location. Great breakfast. Rooms a bit small and bathroom weird, but hey it’s Europe.

Sarah at the front desk was fantastic, was very helpful the whole time there. Great location, but don't expect to sleep early on the weekends, it gets loud(go out and party, anyway!)

An excellently located hotel with smart, clean rooms and friendly staff. The rooms have free wifi, a safe, and a kettle for tea and coffee. As far as I know every room has a bathtub and toiletries are provided. The breakfast buffet (7am-10am) is small but very good, and they provide coffee and croissants before 7am for guests leaving early. There are bars/nightclubs in the area so I would recommend packing earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Love this hotel. Fantastic service! Receptionist were very polite and helpful with transport and table booking etc. We got a welcome drink at the lobby upon arrival and there were slices of chocolate cake waiting for us in the room!!!

Fantastic location, everywhere is within walking distance. Room is bright and clean and the bed is huge!

    Highly recommended!

Our stay was riddled with problems that no one should expect from even the most basic hotel, let alone a luxury hotel like the CenterHotel Thingholt pretends to be. The room was extremely loud, made worse by the broken window.

We chose the hotel in order to get an early nights sleep prior to departing Iceland early in the morning, but did not sleep more than 30 minutes all night. Reykjavik is a loud party city and the luxury hotel should know better than to leave window uninsulated. A broken window in a hotel like this is absolutely unacceptable.

The staff was unclear and unhelpful to the point of negligence. We nearly missed our flight due to poor/incorrect information about the shuttle service operation. All of our complaints were met with complete indifference.

What is worse, is that we were witness to other couples making very similar complaints upon checking out and they too were met with complete indifference.

Save yourself the money and stay literally anywhere else in Reykjavik. You are guaranteed to have a better experience.

Great hotel, but you wouldn't notice it off the street itself. Easy walking distance to the harbor and the mid-town area. Room was fantastic. Staff very helpful. Would recommend you do all your driving around Iceland and come to Reykjavik at end (no parking at this hotel). Breakfast was great.

The location was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. However I had to dock a star due to the weird room layout. The wall mounted TV sticks out of the wall and we found ourselves frequently running into the TV due to the narrow space we had between the TV and the bed to the bathroom.

Edit: dropping a star due to a couple of things. In the folder the hotel provided us, they claim to accept diners club but they didn't. Local calls are not free. (Why not?!) And the biggest one is the weird shower which turns hot and cold periodically while you're showering.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of Reykjavik. Upgraded to a larger room which was perfect size. Great breakfast. Hotel staff extremely helpful. Didn't hear any noise from the bars nearby, even at the weekend. Would stay again.

We stayed here for a week on our honeymoon, and it was perfect! Our room was quiet and gorgeous, and the staff were beyond friendly! Being centrally located made our excursions easy to arrange and easy to access. The breakfast is unbelievable and the lounge food was good too! We didn't try the spa, but it was nice to know it was here in case we got rained out of something.
