Avoid this hotel at all costs. The staff are remarkably rude and pretentious. They will actively stage scenes in your room upon checkout to force you and blackmail you into paying for “damages”.

While the location is good there are many other hotels in the vicinity that will by far be in your best interest to stay at.

Staying here was like staying in a posh museum! The bed was super comfy and the room was laid out well making the most of its size. The only reason why I couldn’t do 5 stars was because my view. It was of a Wall from one window and other people’s rooms from the other.

I love they had a mini bar in my room, the jet lag mixed with no sunsets really messed with my sleeping patterns so being able to snack while wide awake at 2:30am was great lol. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful and the location is great, walk to everything downtown and the bus to the airport is just across the street. They have a bar and restaurant in the hotel and the bartenders are the best in Reykjavík 💖 I split my trip and spent half the trip at another hotel (for my excursions) and half at this one and honestly I wish I just stayed here from the start due to the convience of walking everywhere. It’s a hidden gem and they are with Starwood so you get SPG points!

Hotel is located very close to all shops, cafe and restaurants. However the room was poorly designed and very small for the price. Not sure if all rooms are the same size. Staff was not too friendly when we checked in. The hotel was clean and tidy

In a prime location of Reykjavik, the hotel is perfectly situated for access to local shops, restaurants, and for pick up to various excursions. The staff was exceptional in every respect. Check-in was fast, courteous and delightfully welcoming.

The room was maintained meticulously and every morning breakfast was a relaxing start to the day.

The staff guided me through any questions I had about the city or activities. They couldn't have been more accommodating.

Impeccable service. Room design and quality are first rate. Excellent location. Across the street from all tour bus pickup stop. Recommend getting package that includes breakfast.

Fun design of the hotel and decent rooms however checking in was challenging as we were told our room was ready at 10am and this ended up not being the case (got it at 2pm). The front desk staff was quite rude about this interaction. If you're an SPG platinum member, don't expect any acknowledgement of this or any benefits (I would rate this 0/5). Definitely one of the worst SPG hotels for recognizing guest loyalty.

A small misstep by the hotel, resulted in us spending two nights on the ground floor near the front desk. However, the room was comfortable and clean and the property was perfectly located in downtown. The only thing worth noting is the room does not have great privacy when in the shower. The door is entirely clear (not fogged) with a full mirror on the opposite side of the wall. Thus, if you are sharing a room with someone you are not romantically involved with, it may be a little awkward.

This hotel is situated perfectly in the city. Because of this and the SPG program, my friend and I picked to stay here while we visited Iceland. For what you pay, it is not worth it one bit. $500 a night should get you a room without the toilet in the shower. I shouldn't have to argue with the front desk when they mess up bus reservations (or neglect to order them at all) I understand this isn't a Marriott property like I am accustomed to, and I understand it isn't a normal Starwood property either. I just wish I had listened to the reviews that echoed my sentiments.

If I go back to Iceland, I will actively try to avoid this hotel.

Very nice and very loud

The hotel is quite nice with well appointed rooms and a friendly staff. With that said it shares a wall with a club that is disgustingly loud. Expect to clearly hear the dance music from the club next door until 2am or so. If you need a good night's sleep, this is not the place to stay.

Bar and lounge is cozy and very chic, with good service. Pricey drinks, but then again all bars in Reykjavik seem expensive. The hotel rooms are small, but well designed. The shower is open to the room (separated by a glass wall), so rooms are best suited for couples.

It has a nice "front" meaning it looks nice in the lobby bar area but as soon as you get to the rooms it reminds me of an IKEA bedroom or a college dorm room. For a 4 star hotel I've seen nicer and the prices of the rooms are more 5 star prices not 4 star. I paid over $600 a night and it was not worth the price. Yes I get that Iceland is expensive but still. Have your prices match your stars so you don't feel like your over paying for a hotel not worth the price. Room service was crap! The bread was hard as a rock. They seemed to be out of something everyday. No valet and no concierge. Felt like kids were running the hotel. The nicest staff member was Hawk. Not that anyone wasn't friendly, it just seemed like the parents were gone so the kids left didn't really know what to do as far as with taking care of guests. I would never stay here again. I would try to find another hotel as I feel it's overrated and too expensive for what you don't get.

Also the hotel was extremely noisy! They had construction right outside my hotel window. There seems to be a band playing every day! So coming back after a long tour and taking a nap is out of the question. It felt as if the speakers were in the room as it vibrated and rattled stuff. I called to complain but of course there is nothing they can do. I've been in loud cities and this was by far the worst ever!

Plus they seem to nickle and dime you for everything. If it's raining don't bring the umbrella in the room because if you leave it somewhere it's about $120.

They have no luggage storage for your bags if you check out before your plane as they leave them sitting out in the hallway which isn't safe so I had to just sit with my luggage until it was time to leave to make sure my stuff was safe.
