Greetings from Spanish hotel assistant was welcoming giving descriptive information. Let down by room, mould bubbling up the walls from damp.

TV doesn’t work called reception at 11.08pm who answered, apparently they close 11pm and refused to come and help me.

Reception should be open 24/7. Pretty appalling. Hotel is 25 minute walk to the centre. Wouldn’t come back here again I’m afraid, luckily I’m only here 3 days

Room was finevery spacious. Shower was good. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast pleasant surpriselots of choice and well presented..fresh and tasty.
Locationa little bit far out. Bar area a bit small and exterior needed some tlc.
Overall good stay and value for money.

A lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable. It is a pretty long walk from the city centre but nothing too exhausting. The view from our window was absolutely amazing. Some of the mornings we could clearly see the snow capped mountains and it was amazing. On the night we saw the Northern Lights we could actually see them from the room as well. The shower was lovely too really hot coupled with high water pressure was a great combination. Would stay here again.

My sister and I stayed here 2 nights and it was great. Breakfast was included and the reception stall were helpful in giving us maps and directions. We had a twin room which was spacious and warm (nice after a day in snow) and the Wi-Fi worked fine. The Northern Lights tour came to pick us up from the hotel too.

The breakfast was lovely but the downfall was room service we left the sign out for two day and on the second all they did was make the bed and empty the rubbish did not take the cups or provide new ones and left dirty towels the beds were half broken and there was a very yellow urine stain on the THIN mattress. Very over charged !

Rooms are large and functional. Location is quiet and good access to centre on foot (35 minutes) or regular bus service (5 & 15). Guys on reception were excellent - very knowledgeable and very helpful. This is not a 4* hotel and doesn't claim to be but it is good as a base and comfortable.

Good hotel located on the outskirts of Reykjavík. Twenty minute walk into the city with helpful staff and direct access to your tours via buses that stop outside.

Top tip for going to Iceland: take lots of cash as it is a very expensive place but keep your eye out for Bonus stores. They’re Iceland’s equivalent of Home Bargains.

Great hotel. You have kitchen included. So if you want to cook your food you are more than welcome. Each room have there own set of cuttlery. Pan and vessels for cooking and serving food. It also has freeze and microven.

Nice hotel, would book this again. Warm and clean room. You do need a car when staying at the Arctic hotel as it is some distance to town centre. Despite other reviews about the smell, when having a shower, of rotten eggs, well do not let this put you off, it really wasn't all that bad.

A very good simple hotel for groups. Most rooms had cooking facilities and all rooms had kettles and fridges. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good continental style food.

Never ever ! have to wait about 20min at the desk before someone come. .. Room not cleaned: they are still dishes in the room (botte of coca cola, wastes. ..), bed not cleaned (hairs and furs on the sheets), furs in the bathroom. .. I advise again !!!!!

If you are traveling and like us carrying lots of thing that have to be chargedgood luck. All the outlets are in bad locations and not all work. Even with US converters we had a huge issue because of the outlets location. My suggestion be prepared with the European multi USB charger.

Place is very dated. The wood used feels very old, didn't even want to open any closet or drawers. Bathrooms also look dated and makes me uncomfortable. There's also blank stains in the fridge. Also, breakfast is not free (cost 2000kr each, which we didn't try).

This is a basic but very clean hotel just on the outskirts of the city centre. The breakfast is buffet style with a good assortment of cold meats, cheeses, biscuits and toast. Plenty of fruit juices and tea or coffee.

Very good spacious adequate rooms. Clean and well prepared for your arrival. Lovely, friendly helpful staff. The only real let down for them is the reception and bar area which is very dated, bit like sitting in your parents lounge in the 1970's. TV only has 4 english speaking channels, which is fine, but they are the only channels! I tried to retune and couldnt even get any forgien or icelandic channels. Hotel is a good 40 mins walk to city centre, much better to catch the bus although this does work out at £3.50 per person, per journey. A good, well priced basic hotel.

The hotel room we had, had massive stains on the carpet, the shower room didnt look the cleanest. The members of staff werent all the friendliest and helpful (bar 1 or 2) and although it is described as being in the city centre, it isnt. It is on the outskirts of the city. Not unless you count a 40 minute walk or 2 buses into town as being in the city centre?

Great for being a 3-star hotel. Nice beds, shower, fridge/freezer and room overall. Nothing to complain about. Should be noted we stayed in the "superior room".
