I never give reviews but the service was so good I felt it should be commended.
We only went in to pick up tickets for a gig but when we saw the inside, we made our minds up to have dinner there, we were greeted warmly by the staff and with in 2 minutes we were at our table with our cocktails.
I was shocked with how quick our food arrived we were only half way through our drinks. The speed made me a bit apprehensive as usually that means a compromise between quality or affordability, but honestly it was the best meal I've had in Ireland and the prices were more than reasonable it came to around 63 euro for a two course meal with cocktails.
So in short it's a great all rounder of a place great staff, excellent food and great prices, I would recommend the place to anyone.response / report this review -

Had a 2 course early bird meal here yesterday.
I have to say the food was very disappointing as I have eaten here before and was always happy with it .
I ordered the roast chicken which was very dry and only came with 2 asparagus Spears , a tiny portion of couscous and a small portion of reheated potatoes.
My husband paid 17.50 euros for just a mixed salad as he didn't want the dessert but was still charged for 2 courses.
So overall, an unsatisfactory dining experience.response / report this review -

I married my husband here on a Sunday in September 2017. I wouldn't be able to recommend them higher, it was perfect. Little touches here and there that may have otherwise gone unnoticed by our guests were very much seen and appreciated by me and my husband. We were able to rely on them to execute things without needing micromanaging, the staff had us skitting laughing and excited with every interaction, and the rooms that we had use of for the various parts of the wedding were jawdropping.

Incredible hotel. Absolutely stay here if you have the chance. Wonderful location and great accomodations. Old school fancy feel to this hotel. Really pleasant. Great breakfast. Really friendly staff as well.

A decent place to pick up some pub food. The food was OK, but a bit overpriced. The chips were good, and the club sandwich was nice, but €11.50 seems a bit steep.

Huge place! Get a garden room in the back if you like quiet. The breakfast was included in the price and was very good. Really beautiful restaurants and tea room. The bar was spacious and had good music.

Lovely restaurant and tea rooms. Highly recommended to pop in for breakfast in the stylish tea room. The restaurant is always popular with diners both local and travellers alike.

Lovely 4 star hotel. Very centrally located. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Just an FYI , there is no lift/elevator in the premises.

Staff friendly room good no lift great breakfast restaurant closed due to floor being vanished had to have dinner in the bar food was not great sent back 1 starter and 2 main courses in the end we went to a restaurant a couple of doors away and had a good meal

It's certainly located. friendly staff. very clean. 5 minutes from town centre and 8 minutes from train station. It serves very good food. Friendly bar staff. Stayed here with a party of 10 friends, we all enjoy our stay

The Langton House Hotel is an excellent Hotel in heart of Kilkenny. The interior and the atmosphere is very elegant but not too posh.
The Staff was during our stay always friendly, helpful and very fast.
The Hotel is very tidy and the rooms are spacious with a large bathroom and a superb bed.
In the morning you get a great breakfast with a continental breakfast and a choice of a hot breakfast like e.g. Full Irish Breakfast, French Toast or Smoked Salmon on scrambled eggs.
Parking slots for free are provided as well.
I would choose Langston House Hotel definitely again the next time.response / report this review
