Rooms are beautiful, short space with all the furniture, hallway noise is a slight problem. Stayed in a standard room on level 2. Parking is convenient nearby. Location is perfect.

Just back from the Hibernian hotel. Had never been before, but will definately be back. Everone so helpfully and attentive, the last on reception,June I think her name was, even came outside to show us how to get to carpark,Alma of course a gem in reservations and we have dealing with Alma for over 6 years, and she always looks after us. Staff in bar esp chap that served us very attentive. We had a beautiful room, out of this world, and a great night's sleep. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you Mary and Pat Ellard.

The hotel was beautiful and our room was incredible! Very friendly staff and the food was delicious. Our family and friends joined us in Kilkenny for our wedding and the Hibernian was great in taking care of us! Thank you!

Very friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic bar even when it's crowded there is still plenty of room, food is great and the breakfast, it was worth the journey down from Donegal. The rooms are brilliant the beds are huge and comfortable, and the rooms have all the mod cons, wifi, coffee machine (espresso to be precise) and tea making facilities. All in all this is one of the best hotels that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in and I would, without hesitation stay here again. Well done Hibernian hotel Kilkenny, yous should be proud of yourselves, yous are a credit to this wonderful city. Thank you for having my Girlfriend and I as your guests.

Quite disappointing. The room was lovely and the hotel looks great but the noise from the night club is awful!
The communication between the staff was terrible, in the rooms they advertised a whisky bar that opened at 5pm every day. After asking many people throughout our stay it turned out that it wasn't open at all. I would like to note though that the service was overall very good.
The breakfast in the morning was also definitely not 4* quality. Poached eggs that tasted only of vinegar and hash browns that tasted a day old at least.

Was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who I think was called Sarah? Our room was lovely - spacious, spotless and exceptionally well designed. Room was a little warm, but not a bad thing during a chilly Spring. The bar is a beautiful, comfortable high ceilinged affair. We ate there twice, the snacks we had on the first day were not exceptionally well flavoured, but presented well. However we did have dinner there the following night and it was far nicer. Jeremy the barman was friendly, chatty and informative. Breakfasts were fine, although the dining area was a little crowded. Overall definitely one of the better stays I've had in a hotel. Thoroughly recommended.
