Only stayed one night but enjoy it. The staff seemed cheery and helpful. Extremely varried selection of books in the 'library'. The resident cat was the best part, so friendly.

Myself and my friend Therese just spent the weekend at the Athenaeum hotel , its is perfect for a peaceful getaway and close enough to the city. The staff were fantastic and organised afternoon tea for my friends birthday , we would certainly visit them again .

We had a really mixed experience. The reception was so warm and welcoming and the building and grounds have so much character. The staff we met were friendly and keen to ensure our needs were met. Our experience the next morning wasn't great though. The continental breakfast was nice with fresh fruit and a modest but appetising selection of cereals and breads. The hot breakfast though was slow, really slow. We ordered scrambled eggs which don't take long. We gave up after 25 minutes or so and cancelled our order. We weren't the only people who complained and it seems that an RTE film crew surfaced with their cameras and all attention diverted from the other customers which is a shame as it left a really sour taste (and an emptier stomach). A shame really

Friendly staff, nice sized rooms. Breakfast cooked to order. You definitely need a car if staying in this location as it's is easily a 45 minute walk to waterford.

Nice Historic House Hotel that is a little outside of the city. The hotel has a lovely dining room, bar and common area. The room I was in was spacious, nicely decorated and had good bathroom facilities but it was in was in need of a update including the TV, Stereo & mattress, lick of paint and a good dusting.

First stop off the Rosslare ferry heading west. A perfect introduction to the value and hospitality of top class hotels in Ireland. Staff could not have been better and the food was excellent. Thank you. We will return.

Staff here really are amazing. 5 star service.
Rooms are incredibly dated though. Door slamming throughout the hotel made it painfully difficult to sleep. Internet is incredibly slow too if that's important to you for work.
