  La Caverna is a cosy restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's also well priced being quite reasonable.
  However the food is not traditional Italian. The menu is more like a standard Irish restaurant serving some pasta and pizza. If you have been in a traditional Italian restaurant you could not confuse it with La Caverna. The food was very average. The calzone I had was over filled mess of ingredients, which was then covered in tomato sauce and more cheese. The starters were the usual Irish starters (chicken wings, spring rolls,(!) goats cheese in pastry etc), the minestrone soup was ok but over seasoned. I was surprised it was rated so highly here. It probably deserves a 2.5 but I can't give that and it's not a 3.

  Very helpful staff, nice decor and fish in acquarium, but everything else was disappointing: two red wines by the glass were barely drinkable, the spaghetti arabiatta too sweet, the spinach tasted like old frying oil and the filet just so so (and one missed cooking time). Luckily, the garlic sauce was great!

  Went for a beautiful meal last week the service was great the staff were very friendly and helpful the food was fantastic never had a bad meal there and the staff always make you want to return

  I brought my boyfriend abroad for his first time and on his birthday and started communicating with Monika at La Caverna months before my arrival. Not only did she go above and beyond to make custom requests for me to make his and my night special but the food and our waiter waiter Lucas were outstanding! We will absolutely be returning here again!

  One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. Why? Food excellent service top class and staff cannot do enough for you, especially Monica. Each experience makes me happy and Dan the owner makes sure of that. Thanks you guys and happy Christmas.

  The place is nice and cozy and the stuff is nice, but the plates are not as big as they should be taking into account their price.
  Pizzas are big, but they look as Margarita one although we ordered a Hawaiian, only 5 pieces of pineapple and 4 pieces of ham.
