A fantastically authentic Irish bar. Rammed busy at half 4 in afternoon on a Tuesday - extrapolate from that what you will, but it's a thumbs up in my book.

Great pub in the centre of the tourist area. More whiskies than you can imagine. Live music in one bar while the other is a nice snug place to drink or eat. It's a bit pricier than other pubs in the area but you get what you pay for.

The famous Temple Bar in the Temple Bar district. What could go wrong?

Well, nothing really. Ridiculously overpriced, but boy, this place is fun! Always packed, great music, often live. Staff efficient but very friendly, people having a ball, and so did I. Wish I could have stayed a bit longer, but unforunately I had a date with an airplane.

The famous Temple Bar Pub - amazing place! There's so many different areas inside and even an open-top area in the middle. The food and drinks are a bit pricey but then so is the whole of Dublin so it's what you expect. The food is all homemade and absolutely spot on, try the gourmet sandwiches, they come with little pieces of cake too to finish your lunch off perfectly. There's live music every day and night and the atmosphere is buzzing. When i go back to Dublin, The Temple Bar will be the first place i visit, love it!

The temple bar was great the atmosphere was really fun. We were here for a late lunch and we each had a sandwich and they were all nice.

Loved it in here. It was the one place I wanted to visit in Dublin and it didn't disappoint. We had a lovely pub lunch followed by possibly the best Irish coffee ever! Great atmosphere and live music very busy but doesn't feel to crowded. And for the smokers out there the smoking area is a kind of courtyard in the centre of the bar. I am not a smoker myself but thought this was a great idea:)

I'll echo what everyone else is saying regarding it being a tourist trap. However, we went here during a Sandeman's walking tour and walked through the entire Temple Bar area. The area is very cool and definitely feels much more touristy than any other part of Dublin we explored. Cool area-but talk to your B&B owners or hotel concierge for much more authentic or local places to enjoy a pint!

This is the most famous pub (maybe place) in Dublin. And they know that's, really expensive (good) pint with a too famous repertoire of irish trad music. Always the same tunes. Still good but it's annoying if you go there often. Great choice of whiskey (but without price on the menu, be careful!). Good food.

Yes, it's a tourist trap! But it's nice to be trapped here! Irish people high recommended me to stay away from this place if you want experience a real Irish pub. Anyway, it was very nice to visit it. It's a big stylish pub, full of seats and people from everywhere. Very good choice of drinks!

Nice traditional pub. Very busy at times. Live music and good bands. Good selection of alcohol and a nice place to visit. Can be a bit pricy tho.

I visited this place a week ago with my friends. It is easily one of the most popular bars in Dublin among tourists I think but it is a bit less touristy I think. I felt it looked pretty much the same as the Porterhouse Temple Bar down the road.

The only reason for me to stay was the band and the beer selection.

I would probably not go here again anytime soon but this is just one of those place you need to visit at least once when you are in Dublin. If I had to choose between the Porterhouse Temple Bar and this place, I would pick the Temple Bar for sure.

Obviously one of the highlights of anyone's trip to Dublin is going to the THE Temple Bar. The place was lively when I arrived on a Tuesday night! Packed! Couldn't believe it. Really no matter when you go, this place is rocking. Great whiskey selection if you decide to go that route. Bar staff is efficient as hell and there are multiple places to sit and hang out at of you can't find a seat to watch the live music.
