Staffs were very well communicated (easy to talk to), the room was neat & very spacious (we loved the balcony) and the pool was awesome. a weekend well spent!
Need to add more option on the breakfast menus, we'd like to vibes on your menus like raw honey, real juices + bunch of Indonesian delicacies (sweets & cemilans)

My experience during the week long stay was great. The people were very courteous, helpful and kind. The chefs were great in accommodating my food preference on being vegetarian with Indonesian and Indian cuisine. The food spread in the restaurant was great.

The area with the most iconic landmark. The hotel itself is actually not so distinctive, so make sure you're not lost. The interior is top notch but looks aged. The security is pretty strict.

Loved the place, In the middle of Jakarta or 💓 of the city.

AMBIENCE IS QUIET GOOD. Place is always full, Despite of 5 🌟 Hotel, It is still very Cost effective. It cost you aroung $150 per night which is quite surprising for me. As the value of Indonesian Rupiah is quite low, which makes this hotel one of the best property in the town to stay.

Staff was extremely helpful and the facilities are top class.

The only thing I could mention as "it can be improved" is that the room keys are of type "magnetic band" and you need to insert these to open doors and operate the elevator. As you can see, if this is the only thing I can mention, this means that the rest is at very high standards. Magnificent breakfast, comfortable bed, ample bedrooms, very kind staff
Definitely, a place to return to.

Top class hotel with great amenities and excellent staff. Pool is nice and big as well. The reason I knocked one star off is because the club lounge is more like a children's play room than a business lounge, which really should be addressed by management. If you aren't staying in a club room then that doesn't matter though.

We just left the hotel after a three day stay for business. We travel often, so we experience a lot of hotels worldwide. This hotel will remain in our hearts and minds as a favorite. Every single interaction with staff was professional, friendly and helpful. They even brought a cake to our room for my husband's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet with top quality food from around the world. My husband even found his favourite buns from Germany, and they were just as good as the ones his mother makes. The huge outdoor pool is divine and open until 10 at night and the gym is open 24 hours. We didn't use the workout equipment, but we did use the whirlpools and sauna. All were very well maintained and beautifully decorated. I can't say enough about the staff I left feeling like I had made friends.

Excellent Hotel, given that its not new its still perfectly taken care of and the staff is just exceptional. Preferred to stay here than in many new hotels which do not have such a great building substance and high qualitiy rooms. After i lost my phone at the airport the concierge even helped me to call the securities there to find my phone. Thank you and see you soon.

Awesome pool and secluded little garden areas in what is an absolutely hectic part of the city. Would definitely go back there again. Good for couples and families, as well as a base for a business trip if you are that way inclined. Prices are pretty consistent with what you would expect of this hotel chain across South East Asia.

Really like this hotel. The staff are all so friendly, from the upper management to the security guards everyone seems to be happy to work here.
The breakfast is amazing. The pool is beautiful and the Gym is one of the best hotel gyms in Jakarta.
Hope to stay here more often.

Nothing to complain against this hotel. Spacious room, great air conditioning. Very helpful concierge who helped tying up my package box.

This hotel is wonderful. It has a great infrastructure and I loved the international restaurant. It offers a wode variety of food that I just don't know where to start. The gym is awesome with a great view of the pool.

One of the legacy five-star hotels in Jakarta, and still live and kicking. Check out Satoo, for its great buffet. The pool is also large and great to bring in your family. Very few hotels now in Jakarta have that kind of large pool.

Efficient check-in, superb room with king size bed, shower and tub. Perfect! The breakfast was wonderful with one exception: our waitress asked us if we wanted coffee and never came back. We asked two other people and only got one a cup for one of the two of us. Finally, a waiter brought us a pot like so many others had.

I go to Bats - clubbing site in this Hotel in weekend. Perfect location to get full live music with foreigners band! Update price of entrance fee 170,000 IDR You will get free drink and dance all night till 2 a.m ;)

This Hotel is great for almost all purposes.
If you plan a business trip or pleasure visit you will be very satisfied with your stay. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The hotel facilities are more than what you need. The location is great.
It is an expensive hotel but definitely worth it.

The hotel itself is a bit old, but the quality of the facility has enabled it to stand the test of time. Spacious, plenty of marble and a nice busy vibe. The staff are very attentive. By way of example, I had some laundry done, my tennis shirt was folded into cardboard backing like new, with a ribbon around it impressive. The breakfast buffet is huge and it has 4 different restaurants.

Very well maintained hotel, with one of the largest pool in Metropolitan Jakarta (for 5 stars hotel). The facilities are well maintained, one of the best gym equipped hotel, with plenty of bottled water, infused water, and towels. Also have a very large locker room. With sauna, steam, jacuzzi (hot and cold). We stayed at club horizon room during Hari Raya holiday week, so the hotel was very crowded, but the staff is still keep up the standard very well. The club itself is spacious, they were able to separate the room between the family with children and adults, so they can controlled the ambiance during cocktail hours. Overall, definitely going to return for weekend escape.

Great hotel with an okay buffet (Satoo). Some of the dishes there were pretty good, but overall quality was only okay. However, they often have deals, which is quite valuable if you consider the quality you're getting from the deals.

The services are good, very professional. Also love the food, they make it look very interesting and yummy. The room is clean and neat, not too big but perfect. We can swim under the bridge of the swimming pool. It is made in organic shape unlike other pools.

The Shangri-la Hotel is truly a 5 star hotel. Wonderful swimming pool, service that is a dream, and the rooms are a blessing. The breakfast alone had more options than I've seen. From Indian to American to Japanese to whatever. It was something I won't ever forget. I traveled all the way from Oklahoma, USA to attended my brothers wedding here and it couldn't have been more spectacular! Well worth the 30 hour flight. If ever in Jakarta again, this is where I will be staying again.

Saya datang hanya untuk mengikuti seminar. Secara umum lokasinya mudah diakses jika anda menggunakan aplikasi google maps. Ruangan ballroom cukup luas, ac dingin terlalu dingin malahan, ada pilihan restoran di bawah, menu banquet cukup lengkap menggabungkan tradisional food dengan modern food.

Superb hotel! I've only attended events here, but their ballrooms are quite decadent. The staff is helpful and the security is tight. The deli offered reasonably priced buns and breads during the events I attended. For coffee, you might try theirs, or walk next door to Starbucks.

There are other facilities - a lobby lounge, a bar (Bats), and the usual upscale hotel fare. Would be a great place to host a wedding as well.

Shangri-La lives up not only to its brand, but also to its name. A classic hotel with a touch of class and elegance that define luxury.

The hotel definitely deserve its 5-star rating, equipped with spacious rooms that accommodate a family of two adults and one child comfortably. It also comes with various other facilities and amenities. One, in particular, that my 5-year old looks forward to is the Sunday activity for kids. Guest services are top-notch. Staffs are very helpful and courteous.

The security for the hotel is very tight given recent incident to international hotels in Jakarta.

Most reviews have praised highly the hotel breakfast buffet for the variety and quality of the food.

Price is definitely on the high side of the spectrum, but given the quality of the rooms and services provided, it's money well spent.

Overall, it's definitely one of those hotels that almost any travelers will appreciate be it for business or pleasure.

This hotel fits the bill if you like hotels which have a plush, wooden ornate feel to their ambience. I would not call it dated, but old fashioned classy.

Isles and rooms are well spaced with its classic design. Even their lifts have embroidery padded into them with golden brass doors.

Very tight security, large garden at the back with a big landscape pool that you can swim to your hearts content.

Breakfast Buffett has everything you can imagine.

Tried the Japanese restaurant which was decent.

BATS bar is well Just like any hotel bar in Jakarta.

Only thing to note is this hotel is not connected to any shopping mall, so you'll need to travel out again to go anywhere Something to consider in Jakarta traffic

Bats

The band was terrible, the girls in the band struggled to sing in key and in time, nearly always half a beat off. The guy playing bass was a real musician, ditto the drummer and the other guy. Ditch the girls.

The 140k to get in is bs. The place on a Friday night use to be absolutely jam packed, not anymore. The atmosphere terrible, the drink prices a joke, the band terrible and all the girls want money for sex. This place is Just like a brothel with very ordinary girls. Give it a miss. No wonder the place was almost empty.

Definitely one of the best hotel in Jakarta. Service is top notch! The ballroom is used for wedding or seminar almost every weekend. A lot of companies also have meetings and product launching here due to the location of the hotel which is basically in the center of Jakarta. Room was clean and nice with comfy bed and comfy pillows.

I have slept here several times and always impressed with the service of the staff. They even remember your name although I am not a regular customer!

Price is about USD 200 per night. Quite comparable if you name other 5 stars hotels in the near vicinity of this one.
