Lovely hotel. Clean. Smells lovely. Staff friendly & helpful and a great location easy access to underground. Bus and taxis
I felt the room was very comfortable, the cleaning people could have been better at their jobs. The buffet breakfast was okay. My favorite part was the automatic pancake maker. The hotel itself is somewhat pretty on the inside. But the staff is not particularly accommodating. The biggest downside of the hotel is the neighborhood. It's kind of grimy, not pretty, it's definitely not clean, as soon as you walk out of the hotel you're walking down narrow streets with very pedestrian, ugly-looking shops. It's just not a luxurious environment that I'm used to.
An ok hotel. Well positioned for MTR. Staff are good quality. Room sizes vary, we had more space when we booked direct. Breakfast is buffet style an good. No face flannels supplied with towels. We'll use this hotel again
I really enjoyed my stay here. It was very easy to get in and out of if you purchase an airport train ticket there is a bus that runs from central directly to the foyer.
It's in an quirky part of Hong Kong, I was regularly pleased to find a huge variety restaurant's and street food in the vicinity, and it is practically on top of the subway, making transport anywhere on the island hassle free.
The hotel itself is very accommodating, with clean facilities and comfortable beds. The aircon here works admirably. The view from the 18th floor was fantastic, even though not facing the ocean.
There is a swimming pool, though no where near as nice as shown in the pictures (or as deep as an Aussie pool).
All in all, I'm very glad to have stayed here, it was well worth the money.
The service was top class and the rooms were decent sized. There is a grocery store close by and the hotel accomodates your requests. Ideal location and would visit the hotel again.
This was a great hotel! Fantastic view of the harbor. Decent breakfast. Room was small [by standards of someone coming from America] but clean, and nicely put together. I know this sounds weird but, they had GREAT WATER PRESSURE in the shower! That's something people overlook sometimes. The room comes equipped with things the forgetful traveler may have forgotten, like tooth brush kits, blow dryers, shower caps, shampoo, conditioner and soap.
The service was the best part. They cleaned the rooms daily, the lady even folded my clothes! The staff at the front desk was also very accomodating and polite. I loved my stay here
Very professional staff, especially Henry at the front desk answered all the questions I need to know at the early morning hour.Got two rooms both have good decent views, access to all public transportation within 5 minutes walk
Came for New Year Date night for hubby. Thanks to Eatigo 50% off their buffet.
They offered mussels, shrimp, clams, crab and lobster for their cold seafood selection. That was probably the only part that was really good.
Unfortunately I think tonight was a bit quiet and food sort of sat for a while. The ribs and leg of lamb was decent. The seafood bouillabaisse was tasty but barely lukewarm.
Tho I need to say their double boiled Soup was very good and we really appreciate the good service from our waiter to the manager.
Got the pent house. Very gorgeous view. Service was fair Decent by Hong Kong standards. The wardrobe light doesn't turn off. And the fan in the bathroom doesn't ever turn off either. The room didn't come with body Lotion. We asked about it, they told us we were suppose to have one. But they still haven't brought us our body lotion. I would say it feels more like a 3.5 stars
Came here for lunch buffet, good service, decent price(was about $200), good food too!
A great big thank you to the hotel staff that provided exceptional service during my stay. The Check in was smooth and I had a room with a harbour view.
Don was so helpful with directing us on how to.get to the major attractions. Well done.
Took the mtr to cable car.
Took tram to the peak.
Used the mtr to nathan road.
Used bus no 10 from airport to hotel
Will stay here again if visiting Hong Kong
A very clean hotel.
Stayed 15/12 to 18/12
.
The facility can be a little narrow. This, feel a not too comfortable. But good service though.
Also, I left behind my laptop backpack at lobby lounge. It was kept safety & returned to me aptly
Thumbs up
Decent establishment with harbour view rooms. Noisier than average in room. Lifts very slow. Caught the hotel at a bad time with significant room refurbishment ongoing adding to the in room noise during day time. OK at the right price.
An ideal place to stay. Reached easily from the airport on Airport Express and then H2 complimentary minibus. Very good links with tram, bus and train to all parts of HK for sightseeing. Would recommend to others.
Some rooms are in refurbishment from aug - nov 2017. But they will not bother you at night. I have my harbour view, and it's nice.
We had a great view of the harbour. The rooms look like they have been refurbished so that will be good for future travellers.
Nice location and staff if you want to be in this part of town. Parts of the rooms feel dated. Great view of the bay from my room. Close to airport Express train. Comfortable bed but not the best.
Room quite good if compact, but average size for HK hotel. Hotel is well maintained and a nice environment. Well located for Central and short walk to MTR. Harbour view room worth the extra, unless it's low cloud and rainy like this weekend :-(
Good location. Nice rooms if you get a harbour view tho. Staff OK. But if you want a cup of tea or coffee between 11 and 3pm, forget it! You will have to walk 3 blocks to a Starbucks!! I asked for a coffee and they said no we are closed now??? A 4* hotel refusing its guests coffee it's ridiculous?? Did not expect that? But that apart it's comfortable and the boys on the concierge are welcoming and always helpful. Desk staff are a little distant and humourless, but maybe it's their way? I would come here again if only for the harbour views from our top floor room!!! We upgraded! Glad we did!
Clean, Courteous staff and reasonable rates.
I have fond memories of my stay at Island Pacific Hotel. I was in Hong Kong for a conference at HKU. The hotel was one of the ones that was on the list of recommended places. Since I was paying my own way, I was pleased with the price. The room was on the small side, however, the entire staff was exceptional. From the check personnel to the valet to the wait staff. All were remarkably warm and welcoming. The reason I can't rate this as five stars is because there were not many places within walking distance. We always felt safe while walking, even at night, but there just wasn't anywhere to walk to. Most of the businesses were closed at five. The buffet breakfast was on the expensive side but it was Oh so tasty and once we tried it, we were hooked and ate there multiple days. The room was on the small side as well, and it threw us off that we needed the key in the wall to have the lights on. I appreciate the energy conservation but if you're not used to it, you can find yourself in the dark. If I were able to return to Hong Kong, I would stay here again because I know what to expect and I now know that transportation is much cheaper than in the U.S.
Had to place one thousand HKD deposit. Didn't state in the booking initially. Service is soso. Room decors are pretty old despite the modern looking lobby.
This is a good hotel mainly due to the value. I stayed in the best room available on the top floor for only about $2,500 USD for a month. Nice room, nice view, nice bed, nice shower. The staff are very helpful. The room service food is good. The laundry process is convenient and well done. Overall a hassle free pleasant stay. Better than when I paid the absolutely outrageous prices at the Ritz-Carlton where the value for money is nonexistent. I like that the gym is 24 hours too. They should possibly heat the pool and add a jacuzzi especially for colder months.
Nice place. In a great location. Just a block away from the MTR (subway). No hot tub unfortunately, pool isn't heated. We stayed in January, the pool wasn't in the sun so we didn't feel warm enough to go in.
We had breakfast there one day. It's about, 15 USD a person. It's worth it if your fueling up for a long day of sight seeing. Everything was fresh and clean.
Room was small, but everything is small in Hong Kong.
Concierge desk was super helpful, at one point the guy used his own phone to
show us on Google maps what landmark to look for.
Overall, it was a good experience.
