Nice, old style hotel with a brass furnished lobby and classic bar. Sizable, clean rooms with strong wi-fi, a decent buffet breakfast and friendly service all round. The room walls are very thin, so it's easy to hear your neighbours, but it's mostly a polite, maturer tourist staying here, so I was woken early only once! The location is fantastic for trying the local bars and tapas tabernas, away from the tourist throng, but all the other must see places are easily reachable by good walk or quick subway/taxi ride. The room price seals the deal.

Hotel needs to improve decor, hallway, rooms are dark and working A/C needs to be installed. Disappointing that we had to change rooms 3-times and still rooms were extremely hot. Cleaning crew everyday removed key that we had left to keep room cool & still our message fell upon deaf ear. Breakfast lousy and very limited choices for vegetarian. Fresh fruit choice limited and location too far from city center, metro.

Standard room which has what you can expect without being flashy at an affordable price. The hotel itself has a nice atmosphere which is kept in a older more traditional style. Nice and helpful staff.

Long line for check in with only 1 person. Most hotels had all of the group checked in and we simply needed to get our room keys. This hotel needed passports, credit cards, etc. Very long process. The air-conditioning in the rooms was awful. The entire group said they lost sleep all 4 nights we were there because of very warm rooms. The bathrooms were also very small.
The breakfasts were wonderful. The staff was great, although not enough at check-in. And Madrid was also very nice.response / report this review -

Nice location and regular breakfast, but the room was very small and was not properly cleaned. The decor and overall feeling are that of a very old hotel. The perfume in the lobby was exagerated. This is not a 4 star hotel! Will not return!

Very nice 4-star hotel, not too far from the city centre. A lot cheaper than other comparable hotels in the area. Very extensive breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.

A good place for a break in the district of Chamberí with very useful facilities. The staff was very friendly and helpful and in overall, a good option for spend some days in Madrid for fun or for business. I totally recommend it!

The bed is too hard for me, but it's great to have a pillow menu. Would have liked the air conditioning to be a little more efficient.
I've returned to the hotel because it's fairly central, but quiet and staff are helpful.
Breakfast is peaceful and has a good selection. Good that it is served until 11.30 at weekends too.response / report this review
