Could not ask for a better location, close to the best bakery in town, a jazz club downstairs and walk to the city center. Great rooms! absolutely quiet at night, comfy bed, this has been our best experience at a hotel in Madrid.

Quaint hotel in Madrid within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Comfortable and spacious room with nice toiletries. Helpful staff and a good breakfast buffet.

The hotel was in a great location for the centre of Madrid, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and the room was very clean and well maintained. The prices of the drinks and items in the room were very reasonable and the extra details offered in terms of room laptop and toiletries were excellent.
In terms of improvements i would suggest that breakfast was too expensive given the number of cafes offering great food in the local area especially for a family of 4 with children. The TV didn't offer any channels in English and just one news channel would have been useful. We had a great room at the front of the hotel but it would have benefited from better sound insulation as it was noisy outside until late into the night.
Overall though we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return to the hotel in the future.

We loved staying here for many reasons, starting with the friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was the best part though! My two teenagers loved the selection of breads, meats, spreads and juices. We had fun playing barista with the coffee machine too. The young women working in the restaurant we're also exceptional. Finally, the location was perfect! We walked to the Plaza Mayor in 10 minutes. The neighborhood is vibrant with outdoor cafes, bars, shops all just steps away. I would absolutely stay here again!

- Clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
- Nice modern mid size room.
- Good breakfast with a lot of food choice.
- In the middle of a vibrant neighborhood with lots of shops, cafe-terraces, restaurants, and etcetera.
- Two minutes walk from a metro station (Madrid has a very good metro system).

- Don't really have negative points beside the nightly noise on the street (dirt bin lorries and street cleaning happens at night and that can keep you awake).

We thought this was expensive for a four star hotel with no tea making facilities in the room, no bath, no heating in the bathroom ( very cold floor when walking into the bathroom). Reception on arrival was not very welcoming. Bed cover was very flimsy. The safe was above the fridge so anything put in the safe got very over heated. The window nearest the bed was difficult to close properly. The bedside shelves are made of metal so if you put anything down on them during the night it makes a lot of noise. There is a sense that these rooms have been designed to look good, before taking into consideration what really works.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Petite Palace hotel, Santa Barbara. We had a family room which was an excellent size and the beds were superb to sleep in. We would have preferred a proper door on the toilet/bathroom (for privacy) but soon got used to the glass door. The breakfast spread was lovely and we also had an evening dinner in the restaurant. The hotel is well situated with many bars and cafes nearby, and the metro is literally 2 minutes walk from the front door. The station serves nearly all the various lines and this made life so easy to get around the city. All in all this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we would thoroughly recommend it to all.
