The place is clean and breakfast is good as well.
There is no safety box in the rooms. They're all at the lobby.
My room had a column in the middle of the way and I bumped into it when walking to the bathroom during the night.
The sofa bed in my bedroom was of fake leather that had deteriorated through the years, and the top layer was coming off. You could literally scrape it off.
My room had one full bed, but my brother's room had two single beds put together. Although it seems to be common practice in Spain, it's still not a full bed, so you shouldn't try to make it pass for one.
You cannot control the temperature of the room, so we had to open the window to sleep.
The picture on the wall fell to the floor while I was sleeping.
The rooms are ok if you're visiting and just need a place to stay.
Overall OK, but would not stay here again.

    3.5/5 stars.

    - Reception and service are great. Friendly, helpful, patient. Everyone we interacted with was bilingual, which was great for our needs.

    - Fair price for an AC Marriott in central Madrid

    - Location is convenient. About a minute walk from Linea 7 (orange), and fairly central. Takes a little under 30 minutes to get to Sol.

    - Parking was too expensive, so we opted to park further out and purchase Metro tickets instead. 23€/day might be standard, but it's not worth it.

    - Room and bathroom were very clean. Room has bed, nightstands w/ reading lights (and an outlet on one side of the bed), minibar (for a charge), TV, desk, chair, bench, and closet w/ hangers. Blinds/shades were quite effective in getting a good night's sleep. Bathroom has shower/tub with removable shower head, sink, bidet, and toilet. Included shampoo, bath gel, soap, shower cap, shoe shining sponge, and a comb (i think). Good water pressure.

    - Noise within the hotel was an issue. It seemed as though we could hear anything and everything that was happening on our floor. I even thought one of our phones was vibrating in the early morning, but neither of us had a call come in (which means I must have been able to hear someone else's phone vibrate). Try to get a room as far from the elevator as you can, to reduce the amount of traffic around your room.

    - Around 09:50, someone from house keeping knocked on our door and entered our room without waiting for a response (with all the noise, we weren't sure if they were knocking on our door, so it took us a moment to realize). Of course, they exited as soon as they understood we were still in the room, but it was very uncomfortable. I could be wrong, but I imagine that 11:00 onwards is standard for housekeeping in occupied rooms.

    - Breakfast buffet was great. Ours was included in the rate, otherwise I probably wouldn't pay 11€/person for the buffet. Good spread, good options, fresh food and juices.

Overall, I was satisfied with the stay. The people working there are so kind, and made everything quite easy for us. Especially being a weekend before Christmas, when Madrid is packed. I'd probably bring ear-plugs next time, and be sure to hang the Do Not Disturb sign. Recommended.

For the price you pay, I think this is a good hotel. Rooms are spacious and staff are nice. Not A lot of functions with only one restaurant at lobby level that serves good quality food. Tried breakfast overthere and it was good. Area is okay but not a tourist destenayion with few restaurants around. It is not in the middle of the action though there is not much action in Madrid :-)

The AC Hotel is a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean and the bed is very comfortable. It has a lot of closet space! The staff is very helpful with directions and anything else I need. It's really close to Avenida America station where you can connect to 4 metro lines, a direct bus to the airport, and long-distance buses to anywhere else in Spain. I would recommend this place to anyone.

No cafe lounge unlike other AC hotels, no shampoo in amenities kit, slow service.

Been staying here for a my last few trips, and it feels like it's improved since I was last here early 2016. Staff seem friendlier and more attentive, rooms are mostly the same, but little things like air-conditioning working in all the rooms I've been in has made the stays more pleasant.
Well connected with Cartagena station 100m away, and Avd. America about a 8 min walk.

I have tried other AC hotels and this one is quiet and comfortable. There is a good breakfast and many restaurants around. The beds are comfy and the wifi is decent.
All around a good place is that price range.

One of my favorite hotels in Madrid. If you are interested in Interior Design this is the place to go. Every floor is designed by some famous designer and each room and floor offers quite the experience. The bar on the top floor is also great in summer for a quick 1st drink and get together before you go out for dinner. Hip and fashionable!

This hotel is located in the city centre and it is very well communicated by underground. Moreover, if you want you can park your car near the hotel easily. I do not know the rooms of this hotel because I only attend a meeting, but the event room was confortable and the WIFI access was good.
