A tropical paradise. the place is very clean with beautiful gardens and wildlife. the staff and Dominican people are really friendly and fun people. looking forward to more trips on the island. i loved the abundance of fresh coconuts everywhere.

Fun shows every night. Great swimming pools. Lots of bars. Our room was facing the ocean. It was beautiful.

Now quite run down. Our accomodation smells
damp, and as we near the end of our holiday the damp aroma has permiatated into our clothing.
Staff are 5 ☆ but not backed by Riu.
The Riu group has sold the Bachata to the Senator group who take over for an 8 month renovation programme.
A whole list of comments could be applied such as the abundance of broken sunbeds on the Bachata beach. Some in quite a dangerous condition
Regardless of the nearing disposal of this resort to Senator, it carries the Riu name, and as such has left us with a very poor impression of them as a Company
The Dom Rep is a favourite destination for us and can quite categorically state this is by far the worst we have stayed in, in 6 trips to the Dominican the latest in October 2017, to a Bahia group resort. What a difference.
How Tui could promote the Bachata as a Platinum resort beggars belief.

No he ido pero mis padres si y dicen que es excelente y que además de ofrecerte un buen servicio te mantienen entretenido.

I haven't been there yet but my parents were and they told me that it's an amazing place to relax and besides they keep you entertained. So I think that it must be an excellent resort because my parents are very choosey when talking about their vacation.

Very nice accommodation, nice service, and excellent food. Pay attention when going to swim in the sea. Make sure you wear rubber shoes.

Great hotel with lots to do. There is a zoo, multiple swimming pools and hot tubs, beautiful beach and much more. It is only a minute walk from Riu Meringue and you can meet all sorts of people within these two hotels during dance parties, concerts and playing ping pong or volleyball at the beach. The rooms themselves were clean and the maids were super friendly and willing to help whenever my family asked for something not in the room. I recommend kayaking on the wavy waters, just don't flip over!

First time ever going here and I got to say It had it ups and downs , paid more for an ocean front room and the beds were so hard compared to the garden view same with the showers hardly any pressure in ocean but great I'm garden , the drinks were awesome but the food was terrible and you could only eat at certain times, breakfast was way to early who is gonna wake up between 7-10 on vacation when drinking the night before, they could have had snacks or something in between meals cause the wait was so long , Staff was very friendly sometimes too over friendly, saying they wanted to take you home, overall I wouldn't go back to this riu I would try another one

Really well kept and nice resort. I'm gonna say that this is a very windy part of the country, not the resorts fault but it is located right beside a cruise dock - really cool for seeing some ships but bad because it means there are red flags on most of the beach almost every single day.
The food was very below average for resorts - the only place worth eating is the Italian Restaurant which was fantastic!
Overall good experience and if I got a good deal and a good forecast I would consider going again but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Very clean place. The drinks are great, the food is good but it becomes very reptative its almost always the same dinner selection with meats and veg. And lunch and breakfast Are the same selection everyday
Rooms are nice but the beds feel like you are sleeping on cardboard and bricks.

The best feeling a person can have is when you arrive at a place, feeling that warm and professional greeting. As a business person that I am, Riu Bachata has the best professional reception personal. Jesus was very gentle. He knew my name as soon as I walked in. With a smile and a drink, I felt right away that he knew what he was doing. I have to give credit to the entertainment groups, especially to the manager Chuki. The guys are funny and awesome with all the entertainment shows they do! I will highly recommend Riu Bachata to all my friends in NYC, NJ, and Pennsylvania!
