We had a wonderful holiday with these guys, attentive to all our needs. Fabulous staff that work so hard to please you. The food was plenty and a good variety to cater for all needs.

I’m not really sure where to begin.
My boyfriend and I are very disappointed to say the least.
We aren’t the type of people to
Write a review but we felt like we should save some people from wasting their money and vacation time here .
There is no A/C, no Casino, drinks weren’t great, gym hours were all over the place, the beds are horrible with two mattress put together, the resort is very outdated, dirty, and they give dirty towels back instead of new ones. The buffet is alright which saved me for this place but won’t ever go back.
Definitely not a 5 star, more like a 3 star at best.
They are suppose to be doing renovations but I doubt it will save this place.response / report this review -

We had a fantastic vacation! The shows are super fun and well done. Don't miss the Divas show and the Rock Station show! The food was good and staff very helpful and nice. The waiters are very high energy and happy! Only complaint is we couldn't get into to the a la cartes because you need to book at 7am! Who gets up at ham on vacation??

Very disappointed, booked a 4+ star only to find a run down resort with bad front desk service, bad bland food and a resort they claims to be family friendly but only caters to smokers. Every where you go there is the smell of cigarettes and limited non smoking places. There is almost no smoke free area at this resort. This place makes this my first and last visit to the Dominican Republic.

This is a great place to go on vacation. The hotel is clean and the staff is super nice and attentive. I love the mini bar in the room and the cute arrangements that the cleaning staff leave on the table during their daily cleaning. The beach is nice as well, and the pool is well maintained. Highly recommend!

Staff are lovely. Lot's of activities to do, dance lessons, valleyball etc etc. Food I'd give 4 out of 5 but if you're fussy like me the cooks are more than willing to recook for a few more minutes. It's very clean but lot's of flies! The flies are cheeky and refused to leave me alone, grr!!! Avoid the shop strip if you can't take the hard sell. We didn't leave the resort and wanted for nothing. Would definitely recommend 😉

Great location for going on excursions as there are a variety of options for all tastes in the local area. Food was great although sometimes repetitive. Breakfast selection was good. Staff were largely superb and always tried to help and offer excellent service. Reception staff were lovely but not always informed e.g which restaurants were on that evening. The facilities were very good but not excellent. Rooms were very large and nice but not plush enough to be classed as 5*. Free mini bar in the room is a nice touch and is pretty well stocked. Beach is nice and the surroundings are lovely. The grounds staff do an excellent job. We were there when Hurricane Irma hit and I can't praise the staff enough for how they dealt with the concerned guest and how they approached the situation. Many of the staff chose to stay and look after guests even though their homes were affected and they would be away from their family. Overall excellent value for money we paid £1400 for 3 of us (one under 1 child) for two weeks all inclusive.

We got a day pass to this resort when we stopped her as one of our cruise destinations. I'm so glad we were only there for about 7 hours.. The food was absolutely horrendous. Could see trays of raw chicken stacked up in the 90 degree weather just sitting behind the food stations. Bugs flying around all over the food areas and I truly did not feel safe eating the food, so all we had were french fries. Drinks were good and the grounds seemed well maintained (which is why I am giving this 2 stars). But I think they need to monitor the amount of alcohol people consume a little bit closer. I saw a guy stand up on one of the stools in the swim up bar and completely whip out and smash his hip on the granite bar top and his shin on the stool. Started bleeding of course all over the pool That was lovely.. So we went to another pool and saw someone throw up all over themselves while sitting at the pool bar That was also lovely. At that point we had enough and made our way back to the ship. I can't say this enough I'm so glad we didn't stay here. We had a horrible experience at another Punta Cana resort and coming here was a giant flashback/ reminder as to why I don't trust all inclusives in the Dominican.

This 5 star resort offers plenty to make your all-inclusive stay in Puerto Plata, D.R relaxing and enjoyable. The staff are friendly, funny and very happy to accommodate your requests. We had wonderful weather the week we were there this February 2017. It rained at night which made for comfortable sleeping and the days were sunny, gorgeous and hot. Our only problems while there was mailing postcards home which staff at the front desk offered to mail for us, our family, friends and ourselves are still waiting for them to arrive.

Not what we expected for a 5 star resort the room was smelly. I found hair in every meal I ate wasn't not impressed thankfully we book alot of excursions to keep us busy. We will not be returning.

This place was great. Check in was a breeze and all the staff were pleasant and always in a good mood. Love the shows they had and the staff organized activities. I would definitely consider going back again.

If it is acceptable to you to eat every meal in a sweltering none air-conditioned restaurants in 90o+ temperatures, then this is the place for you.
I really did like the local staff - Angelo, Luis, Freddy all deserve every success for their kindness & service - but a fish rots from the head.
Riu Bachata is losing money because of corporate neglect.
Don't waste you money or vacation time here.
Maslow's hierarchy of needs lists psychology as the first level.
• Spending everyday at Riu Bachata in unbearable heat was torture, no enjoyment.
• Also, the beach is full of seaweed and rocks.
• Lunch at the snack bar is identical everyday. You’ll feel the depression set in.
• Want to eat in the nicer restaurant that is included in you all-inclusive price, well wake up at 6 am to make a reservation otherwise no soup for you.
• Misplace your sunglasses or hat, you’ll never see them again – theft?
• Free wiki only in lobby & only for first 2 devices.

I found the resort was clean and the rooms were nice. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was okay. The beach was nice until you went in the water and tried to swim. It was absolutely horrible. You were tripping over things you could not see. That explains why no one was is in the water in any of the website promotional pictures. The pools were very nice though and the day time activities were fun.The two restaurants were a first come first served with extremely limited seated. For the money I paid I could have done much better. It was a 3 star at best. Wouldn't even recommend this to my x-wife.

The weather was awesome, the beach a little Stoney and uneven in the water, therefore only swam on the calm days. The room was very musty smelling and the wi-fi was not great. Food was not bad, but definitely not 5 star. Desserts were sad.We got a really good deal so over all we had a pretty good week, but if you are looking for 5star quality, you won't find it here.
