The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the station. Rooms are clean but not massive. Well appointed with lots of power outlets and USB charge points. Shower room is nice. Breakfast very good with something for everyone. All in all a great hotel in the center of Munich

The first impression that hits you is, wow this place is underwhelming for the price and hype. It's one of the best reviewed on TripAdvisor, but also one of the most expensive in and around Marienplatz.

However the location is ideal for exploring Munich, especially if you don't mind walking a bit. The proximity to Hauptbahnhof is a blessing, but do keep in mind scores of other hotels are also located nearby.

No complaints about rooms or service - practically no views worth talking about from any of the rooms, but it's better to get a room with a window facing front: its not the most inspiring thing to wake up in a city live this and look at a backyard with psychedelically lit up dustbins. Breakfast is good and the heartbeat of the place. But get your other meals somewhere else. Service is very friendly and will help as much as they can. Overall a very pleasant stay, and my personal gripes may be due to having higher expectations due to fantastic cities like Edinburgh. Do choose Arthotel if it's on your list.

very good hotel just in the heart of Munich, a minute walk from all the public transportation options and the central train station.
the rooms are new and have everything you need and the hotel staff were really nice. the breakfast has all the variety you'll want for a healthy breakfast. really close to the Oktoberfest area as well.

    Cheap, but cheerful.

OK, cheap is a bit of a bad description, it is cheap for Munich, but not cheap as in really affordable. Rooms aren't fabulous, but spacious and reasonably well appointed and thus are truly good.

I have stayed here numerous times and prefer this 3 star hotel over many 4 star options near by.

You won't get luxury, but all you need, in clean rooms, good WiFi and you can start your day with a good breakfast.

    I'd recommend it any time

Wow, where to start. I really like this place. We (wife and I) have stayed overnight here on two occasions and if i go to Munich again, this is where i will stay. To start when you walk in from the street it is well lit and friendly. The decoration is modern and attractive. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were attractive and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was just outstanding with both Bavarian local and continental style offerings.

Disappointing. The hotel is central enough, but upon arriving at 1.30pm, was curtly informed by an officious receptionist that the room would not be ready until 2pm ( without even glancing at the booking, even though the booking had priority early check-in), then we were told "you've booked another building" (err, I don't think so). We trundle outside, down stairs, through an alley, then up another flight of stairs - no lift). The room was small, grey and basic. Not very "arty". Will not be revisiting.

Great location near to the main station, my room was very spacious and comfy. Temperature of the room was ideal given the freezing conditions outside. The only thing I wish they had was tea making facilities in the rooms. Hotel provided a bottle of water however sometimes a nice hot drink is much needed in your room!

the hotel is modern, clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of foods and drinks. located just a few minutes from Munich's main station it's perfectly situated for inner city endeavors. I only experienced very little downsides to my stay: the room was noisy - I heard my neighbors and they sure could hear me. I also had the loud sound of the elevator going up and down in the room and everyone entering/leaving it on my floor. the tub/shower is placed right under a low sliding roof which made it impossible to stand up-right - taking showers is very uncomfortable. They should swap toilet and bath tub. other than that the room and service was absolutely immaculate.
