Nice hotel, close to the u-bahn

Clean place with nice furnishings, friendly staff, and a nice breakfast. However, the shower, bizarrely, had no door, just a one-wall glass partition from the sink. And the low, sloped ceiling meant I could only stand upright in one place in the shower. Also, the wifi seemed to go down to dialup speeds sometime after midnight. Strange problems.

Very nice hotel, cozy atmosphere, in front of a pretty small park. The personnel is kind, breakfast is a large selection of food and beverages. Cleanliness is absolutely five-stars, price is VERY convenient, given that the hotel is in front of the Ubahn stop: in 20 minutes you get to Marienplatz, downtown Münich. In my opinion, 5 stars is the minimum I can give to this hotel.

Great location next to the Garching ubahn stop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a nice assortment of fresh breads, cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurts, teas, coffee, etc. The breakfast room was also very nicely appointed and organized. Our room was nice and clean and up to date. The TV was a bit small. I would recommend getting a room that does not overlook the park since teenagers like to hangout and talk there late into the night, which makes sleeping difficult if your window is open. Fortunately, the modern windows were also excellent at sound insulation, so the room was nice and quiet when the windows were closed. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning, so it got a bit warm in August. Parking was extremely convenient. Overall, the Am Park was a great deal and I would recommend it.

The location is good in terms of proximity to Garching Metro Station. I stayed there during Munich Festival with limited options. However I was not disappointed. Breakfast is super but the facilities are bare minimum. Cleanliness is world class. One should not be very excited about the hotel but one will not be disappinted either.
