Nice resort. Entertainment crew is amazing. Food is good and rooms are not bad either. Crowd can be mixed sometimes young or sometimes old people. Beach is nice and pool is clean.
They have daily games and night club and pool parties. Steve is fun

Beautiful views and great staff. Food was actually tasty. But saw roaches in the restaurant and bedroom. So a bit concerned. Rooms are clean and well kept though some are outdated.

Rooms in very rough shape, leaking Air Con, mold, electrically unsafe.
Begging gardeners, understaffed bars. Food is what you expect from Cuba. Lively pool during the day, but the beaches are being rebuilt. FYI, they are shutting this down in May for a full refit. It's pretty much just patched up good enough for now. If you have been there before, and remember the canopy of the lobby, well, that's pretty much gone now. Most of the staff was pretty good, some were excellent and took a lot of pride in their work. This was our 3rd time here, sad to see it this way. FYI, visited the SOL down the beach, it was in much better shape.

Beautiful, relaxing resort. Fun activities day and night and the people are so kind! I just wish the WiFi was better. You had to be in the lobby to use it and it cost per hour. But I still had a fantastic time!

Great Resort with super friendly Staff.
$1 really takes you a super long way here.
Don't complain about the Food because if you are coming here and expecting exceptional Food then that's your own fault.

Love the place, 3rd time there. Rooms need a big refresh but it's clean. They were supposed to start renovating in April 2017 (is as there last time in Feb 2017)
    Would go again!

This hotel is still recovering from extreme damage from Hurricane Irma. Repairs are approx. 65% done. Many washrooms still don't work and the sewage smell is strong surrounding the main building. The staff are probably the best you will ever find! Very friendly and accommodating. They way they are going all repairs should be comets by March 2018

We got a room with the pool view and an ocean. Room was clean, beds were really wide, no need for additional bed for the 14 months old baby. Beds were old but good enough. Rooms were cleaned every day. The beach towels were also available to use.
Food was diverse and the dinner with the menu was nice. When it say Italian restaurant or Oriental kitchen don't expect great, but just good.
Stuff at the hotel was great. From the guy removing the send from the chairs on the beach to the person cleaning your room. They were all really helpful.
Animation part during the day and evening was fun and nice to watch/participate.
I could freely say that the beach was the best compared to one kilometer walk both directions from the hotel. Looking at the other hotels in the area, I have no doubts I had one of the best deals for the money I have paid.

It is definitely a place I would gladly recommend to a friend.

I'm going to give it 4 stars just because the beach is so nice here and we had a fantastic time despite the shortcomings of the resort. The resort is a good size, has a fantastic pool and beach and the open air lobby was pretty cool. The rooms were very dated with pretty cruddy looking tile floors and a king size bed was two queens pushed together. Some people in my group had a hard time with the buffet food. If you stick to seafood and other types of food that is available fresh in Cuba then you'll love it. It was the picky eaters complaining about the chicken, hot dogs, etc. The food at the specialty a la cartes was actually quite good. The resort had a plenty of night time activities / shows that kept us entertained each night. It's a little isolated from any towns or shopping areas - if you're looking for that then stay in Varedero.

We were there in 2012, it was best hotel in whole cuba what we had. With super food what we have ever eaten, also staff was very funny and friendly. I don't understand why this hotel have only few stars in rating, i would rate it at 5 star, without discussion!

If you are looking to enjoy some sun, sand and sea at a great price this is it. Beaches are pristine and well worth it. Rooms are not modern or updated and the food will be questionable at times. We found the gardeners to be the most friendly staff members. They would bring you fresh coconuts every morning without the expectation of a tip. The front desk staff was a hit or miss. Some were nice, helpful and friendly others were dismissive and uninformed.

Great value hotel! Everything was great, no problems with bugs or the rooms. I would not book March break here as there are drunk students everywhere, maybe go somewhere a little pricier that week.

The staff is rude if you not tip on every single thing. The room is outdated, safe didn't work. The food is not terrible, however, you have to check twice what you are eating. Try to avoid going there. Not recommended.

We went with another couple. It was both of our first time there. We highly recommend Tryp Cayo Coco . Resorts was huge with quiet pool if your looking for that. Huge pool with shallow spot for families and swim up bar and deep end. Lots of entertainment and the food was great. We are talking about going back next winter . Staff was friendly . Place was aged but not bad

    beach and pool were great.
building itself was run down, food was okay. a la carted were very good.
it rained 2 days we were there and they didn't do any extra activities so it was kind of boring.
but on the sunny days no complaints.

The staff are excellent and food is great. I really enjoyed the a la carte. There English is not the best but they always try and communicate to best of their ability. The entertainment staff really did a great job in assimilating the children and their parents on stage during their performances. Their is a lot of activities and excursions.

I loved the beach but I wouldn't go back to this hotel. This resort should be considered 2 stars. Too dirty!
