3rd visit April 2-9th 2018 although this resort was hit by a hurricane 6 months ago and are still in recovery mode this is still one of our favorite getaways. Beach is still amazing, staff is doing the best they can with what is provided for them. Food is repetitive but ok, always something to eat, I personally recommend the fish at the Beer Gardens (go early they might run out). Will definitely be doing a forth visit to this resort.

Great resort!! Staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. Beach was beautiful and the food was great especially the bbq pork and chicken at the beach side bar.

Hotel has not had any hot water since the hurricane, also has no water pressure. Rooms smell of mold and its hard to get toilet paper in room or in the resort, its hit and miss with hand soap. Rooms are not up to par, however the staff and their service was great. Front desk will say yes when you ask but you never get what you ask for. If you want to party this is the place with lots of loud music and games at the pool and beach. If you want to relax choose another place.

Had a great trip. Food was surprisingly insane, I hear if you go 3x you really get treated to special food. My unit 9114 was a 30s walk from the ocean, they barbecued pork chicken and fish right there, crowd was quiet, easy, coffee was great. Here's why I rated it 3.5: toilet didn't always flush well, shower was cold all of the time, found a roach and one day found a frog. That's the Italian restaurant dinner one on of the best nights

The views are great and the staff is really friendly, service is good.
But, Hurricane Irma has still some effects on the hotel. The rooms were repaired really fast and some had mold. Also the food isn't not good. I'm not a picky eater but my family and me got sick because of the food. Just make sure you take food that is cooked in front of you.
Overall satisfaction : good.

The Facility:
The resort is definitely newer than the ones in Varadero. But the entire area is so new that there are so much mosquitoes, they're everywhere!
Plus this resort is located very close to a river that seem to end right by the beach (not sure if it connects to the ocean). My room, in the building Los Cabreros, is right next to the river. So I can actually smell the stinking water at my balcony.

The Room:
My room was not in a good location. Plus the patio door doesn't close completely so bugs and mosquitoes come to be room and feast on me at night. So I never had a good night sleep.

The Food are okay, pretty fresh, but nothing spectacular (it's Cuba).

The region is pretty secluded, good place if you are into jungle and water activities. But lots of bugs and mosquitoes. But the Playa Pilar (a public beach) is amazing probably the best beach and water than Varadero.

Hotel was just OK, wouldn't give it more then a 2 star. Food was the same thing all the time. Buffet was always running out of food, you wait forever for a waiter to approach you. waited over 30 minutes for pasta or Pizza. The Japanese and Italian a la carte restaurants were the only good food. our room was only stocked on day 1 with diet drinks and towels we had to keep requesting. The pool was gross with green algae growing on it and the beach was full of sand fleas i was covered in bites by day 3. I would not go back there or recommend it to anyone.

I stayed in that hotel a couple of weeks ago it was so beautiful very satisfied with the service there it was fantastic. Everyone there was nice, helpful, and approachable. The food was delicious and we had stunning views of the ocean all around the whole entire hotel. It was lovely.

Very bad service, very bad food, dirty beach
You can come to the buffet and wait 5 to 10 minutes just to grab a plate, then you can wait for a waiter till you finish eating and nobody will approach you. Once I have waited for 40 min at a snack bar for my order This is just a small portion of what I have to say about our overall experience Will never go there again nor will recommend it to anyone.
P.S. In all honesty the Japanese and Italian a la carte restaurants had good food and good service.

Our party of 6 really enjoyed Hotel Playa Coco, the staff were very friendly, helpful and so much fun. Our rooms faced the beach and were very clean and had everything we needed. The restaurants and the buffet were all very good especially the Japanese Restaurant. Tipping is a must but so very cheap that it is not anything to worry about, tipping gets you the best service. The hotel had wonderful entertainment at night, don't miss the shows as they really are worth it. Make sure to sign up for one of the Jeep adventures and get to drive a jeep and a speed boat. Snorkeling right off the beach at the resort was so much fun with many fish, starfish and other ocean life.

Me and my family visted cayo coco January 7 to the 14. Food at the buffet and a-la-carts was great and had a good variety of it. Lots of drinks to chose from. They had shows every night and they always did amazing, and by the way Fridays they had a water show (in the pictures below) One of my favorite places to go was the ice cream parlor (open 10-10) and the beer garden (open 24/7). The first night we got there it was raining and there was a leak in her bathroom ceiling, but the next day they moved us into a new room with no problems whatsoever. Other than that, our stay was great and we would definitely go again.

Amazing ocean site, for swimmers, and for children too. Hotel room was pleasant only with minor issues. Food was good, sometimes excellent. Large variety of drinks. We had a pleasant vacation. And enjoyed to the fullest the ocean. Amazing ocean experience.
