Excellent food and service. Tried the seafood pasta and the chicken with ginger and honey. Both amazing. The desserts were fantastic.

Really great flavors! I am from LA and I am so picky with food that I would rather be hungry than eat at anywhere lower than 4.4 rated on google. This turned out to be such a gem! I ordered the fortuna sea bass and my husband ordered the boiled beef with cheese on it (?! Some sort of chef dish) and both were so well prepared and well seasoned. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of good. My seabass had this amazing basil sauce that I used the decoration carrot to scoop up and finished even after I finished the seabass. The flavors are just so on point and meat and fish are both well prepared. 5 stars all the way!!

Juan was amazing they keep lost items at the owners place and wash them!!!! He had it delivered to the restaurant before we could finish our drink! Highly recommended! Makes reservations

Ducked in to Tierra Mia as a rainstorm went though La Fortuna. Enjoyed a cervesa and a great meal here. The menu was complete, the waiter friendly and the kitchen stall was hopping.

Great restaurant with friendly staff. Go for the fish, the ceviche is phenomenal and you can’t go wrong with any of the fish the have. They also have some good craft brews that are off the menu.

This was probably the best food I had in Costa Rica! Our Air B&B owner recommended it, and it was amazing. I had the chicken with grilled pineapple/coconut sauce and it was possibly one of the best chicken dinners I've ever had. It was so moist and flavourul, and even the mashed potatoes and veggies with it were delicious. My bf had churrasco which was also awesome. Our server was fantastic, and in the end, our bill wasn't even that much, even though we had a bottle of wine, 2 desserts, and a salad to start with. I think we paid around $60 US somehow. All in all, amazing place!

    Really Overrated

We had a bad meal and worse service. Expected much more given the past reviews, but we hit a bad night. Rarely do we talk about service but we were there 35 minutes before we had service. The steak was pan fried and cooked medium rare, but it had no flavor even with onions and an unidentifiable vegetable on top. The sauce was also bland. So much for local food. The potatoes were overcooked and covered with the sauce. I have eaten lots of sauces and I could not identify the spices. My wife's chicken sandwich was OK. They did not have a bottle of cold chardonnay so they chilled it basically while were eating. I cancelled it before they opened it but Juan, our server, said it was complementary (which it was). We were sadly disappointed. We went to La Parrilla de Maria Bonita which was superior and excellent.

Had a great fish casado. Service was super friendly and quick. Not a bad price for a tourist town either.

Wow, friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff, fantastic food. A truly memorable experience for all of us, not least because there was an earthquake tremor between mains and desert!

We're spending a lot of time in Costa Rica and eating a day lot of different restaurants to get to the culture. Tonight we ate at this one and it was by far the best and we've eaten at some great places already. We're going to go again tomorrow because it's so awesome the stakes are top-notch people say the food is expensive in Costa Rica but I'm not seeing that at all it is in line with American prices and often less.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was great! We literally booked the entire restaurant (holds about 30) and the staff was so amazing! Since I made the reservation they were in contact with me, accommodating all of our needs and making sure we were going to be well taken care of. Aside from the fabulous service, the food was also amazing!!! It was almost every person's favorite meal of the trip! We even went back again before we left La Fortuna!! The prices are reasonable and they offer vegetarian and vegan options! Cannot say enough good things about Tierra Mia! Please go hereyou will not regret it!!!

Great little and comfy place. The food is awesome as the service. A casado costs around 4000 colones. They also have cheaper options on the executive menu. My husband and I had a great meal there. I recommend it.

This place was an absolutely brilliant experience. The chef's plating techniques belongs in an ostentatious up scale New York restaurant. The service was extraordinary. The flavors were bold and strong with notes of freshness. Please do not be deceived by the appearance of the restaurant. We even came back the next day after having a delicious dinner, and the lunch was still fantastic, if not better. If anyone is in the area of La Fortuna, this is a place you must add to your culinary experience.

The staff here are awesome. I asked for an off menu drink, they were more than willing to try and make it. I have to say, their "iced mocha" was amazing!

We spent 2 weeks traveling all over Costa Rica. We ate dinner at Tierra Mia on the third night of our trip. The food was fantastic, well priced, the presentation awesome and the chef very friendly. The remaining two weeks of our vacation we never had any food that even came close to the taste of Tierra Mia. If I ever get back to La Fortuna Tierra Mia will definitely be on my list.
