Very good location. Nice view to the tower. Good breakfast. Maybe the rooms have become a little old. But still a very nice place close to the Bund and the shopping street.
The room is very clean. Location is very good as there are many eateries and shops around the hotel.
Good service. Pleasant environment
Fantastic location. But rooms are a bit aged. Also I had to change room because the first one was not properly cleaned.
Nice hotel with good service and beautiful views. The location is great, right across from a subway stop at the People's Square park. If you fly into Hongqiao (and if you're feeling brave), it is very easy to get here on subway line 2, and it's only 5RMB (less than 1 dollar). Skip the overpriced cab ride. The hotel is located on Nanjing Rd, so it's very close to the touristy shopping area and the Bund. The rooms were nicely appointed. The hotel buffet was really good, although a tad pricey. The food was actually kept hot, unlike most buffets I've encountered in this area of China. They give you actual arabica coffee in the rooms, with a French press.
The service was good. They fixed my cable box for me, when it got frozen. They have a decent VOD system with movies for free. Only negative is that sometimes the massage girls get in the lobby and harass you for a massage. I wish the management would be more proactive in kicking them out. You have to transfer elevators at the lobby floor to get to the rooms. If I'm in downtown Shanghai again, I would definitely stay here.
Nice service, great breakfast, I would recommend not to go to the restaurants in house or order room service. Also the Gym is quite large and well equipped.
Personal properties stored in the room safe box was stolen. From the surveillance video, only several hotel staff entered my room but they still can't figure out who did that!
Great views, excellent staff, great WiFi. The location is fantastic right on Nanjing Rd. Could have used a power outlet or USB charger closer to the desk and bed.
Good location with ample of attractions around to keep you busy. The hotel is dated but staff and service are still ok. Nice stay for few days in downtown Shanghai.
A little old and poorly designed, but good view, nice jazz bar, convenient location
