Clean and comfortable although rooms were slightly small, excellent service and a good spread for breakfast. Closer to station and Old Town than expected so it was very convenient.

31"C room temperature at midnight. Could get no sleep. No Aircon, just à fan. The window opens just a few centimeters on a noisy street. Can't pull the curtains, it would block the little airflow.

This is my second visit to Bern and I think I have found the hotel for my future visits. Knowing that Switzerland is very expensive when it comes to Hotels I was pleasantly surprised by the price of the hotel and the value for money. The hotel is conveniently located about 5minutes from the main station and there are various restaurants all around as well as coffee places so you are sure to find something that suits. The rooms are, as described in other reviews, on the small side but they offer all the functionality and amenities that you would look for. Most importantly they are clean which is key in my eyes.

One of the key selling points for this hotel are the staff. They are in a word sublime!!! They are friendly, helpful and they make you feel welcome and at home. No matter how many questions you have and on what topic, be it hotel, good place to eat, attractions to visit, you will receive a helpful answer and that with a smile on their face.

The breakfast is fresh and plentiful and there is a great selection ranging from bacon and eggs, to yoghurt, cereal, cold cut, cheese and a superb selection of fresh breads. Living in England I appreciate the different bread selections and this was was fantastic.

Noise cancellation is also pretty good, as long as you keep your window closed. No problems with loud noises from below when I was sleeping. You can also sleep with the window open but you will hear the street noises quite clearly so it depends on whether this bothers you or not.

If you are looking for a great little gem in the heart of Bern then this is the place to go.

Friendly staff, nice clean room with a decent shower and a comfortable bed.
Breakfast was a decent selection of cooked and continental options. Good coffee.
