  An ok 3-star hotel. The room is spacious and the staff very friendly. Cannot on the food as i didn't dine there.

  Not really impressed. Room was very depressing as you can see. Extremely dated decorations and not a cheerful place at all. Staff were OK but as far as my room goes although clean it was not welcoming. The hotel by Swiss standards was not especially cheap and probably more than an Ibis. Stayed here as holiday inn berne westside was full. That hotel is marginally more expensive and further out from city but a world away from this joint.

  “Basic Hotel - average at best - very central”
  
  Stayed one night at this hotel on my visit to Bern. The hotel is extremely central and is situated 2 minutes away from the railway station. This is both good and bad as its close and central but you have the noise to deal with.
  
  The hotel is very basic but it's clean and offers a decent bed. I agree with previous comments that it's an old hotel but I would hasten to add its an old hotel without the old hotel charms.
  
  If all your looking for is a hotel for a nights stay the you probably are ok. Don't expect too much though and your expectations will be met and you won't be disappointed.
