Poor is an understatement for describing breakfast. Very thin mattress max 5cm, uncomfortable!

This hotel is located close to central train station.
The professional reception staff are super friendly, efficient, and are fluent in English.
We were in a family room for 3 and found it adequately spacious.
Room service was excellent, our room was kept spotless every day.
Breakfast was optional extra, continental, but a really good selection. The fresh croissants were to die for!
The hotel will provide you with a free travel pass for duration of your stay. This allows you to travel by tram,bus, and boat taxi on lake, as well as your train journey back to airport.
We would not hesitate to book this hotel again.
Directions.
As you exit the train station, take the pedestrian crossing over to platform 1. (Do not cross the tram tracks or you will find yourself traveling in the opposite direction) The No1 bus, or No 15 tram will approach from your left. Take either of these, and get off at the 1st stop, which is Mercier. As you exit the tram / bus keep the pharmacy on your right and turn right on the corner (Rue Voltaire). Continue under the railway bridge and the hotel is just ahead on your right.

Great location, clean and good sized rooms. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Only thing I didnt like was there was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Overall good experience though

We've had a small but cozy & clean room with very good room-service (always clean towels, glasses) Breakfast was very easy and tasty. Hotel is located near the railway station 5-7 min. Staff is very friendly. Free travel cards. WiFi is good enough.

We stayed at the Hotel Ibis from 9 March to 11 March 2017.
Usually, we like to stay at hotels that are close to the train station so that if it's raining, we aren't walking for blocks with luggage and getting wet. We were a little worried that this place was too far away, but it's not. You can even walk under the overhead rail lines up until you reach the hotel. We felt safe walking at night. Michael, at the front desk, was very nice and helpful, and he spoke perfect English.
The hotel has been recently renovated, and everything inside is all new. Our room was small and efficient, and the bathroom was very small. The windows open for ventilation, have curtains, and steel shutters on the outside. We slept with the windows open and the noise didn't bother us. As with most hotels, the pillows are horrible.
Breakfast was 16 Francs a person, so we went to a local market and Cafe instead.
If you walk one block up the hill, you'll find a grocery store called Coop and a cafe called Chez Quartier on the same side of the street. A few feet further is a pharmacy. We also ate at a cafe called Tea-Room Zepa.
Since our flight was early, we shopped at the Coop the night before and bought freshly baked croissants and a few hard boiled eggs.
This is a great hotel! We're glad we stayed here.response / report this review -

Ticks all the boxes regarding requirements and facilities. USB ports in the room and tv. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Free travel card for our stay and decent wifi connection. Breakfast could be better but on the whole, a comfortable stay. A small phrase book/leaflet for foreigners would be useful since all their guest are usually visitors on business and bot locals on holiday.

Good, clean. Well located and my room was quiet enough dispite facing onto the road. Breakfast didn't look like it was worth 16franks and the room is quite small bit functional. WiFi seems decent.
