Nice and cozy hotel. Located at the centre of the Grindelwald. There is a grocery shop nearby, and nice restaurants are just opposite the road. Nearest bus stop is 1 mins walk from the hotel.
I booked a balcony room with eagle view. Excellent view when look out from balcony. The booking fee is affordable. Recommended.
However there is not lift in this 3 stories hotel.response / report this review -

Staff was extremely friendly and informative. Rooms was adequately furnished, no complaints there. Breakfast includes a basket of bread, cheese, jam, and free flow eggs, meat, yogurt, and cereal. Simple and filling. The only downside was the WiFi connection, which was unstable and kept disconnecting intermittently.

Clean, comfortable room. No A/C, but in the Hills so ok without.
Small, continental breakfast.

The Hotel Tschuggen in Grindelwald is clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, central and very convenient to the station, tourist information centre and restaurants/shops. We travelled as a family of three and the family room (2 bedrooms with bathroom) was just right for us. We had a street-facing room, and we hadn't realised just how busy the main street in Grindelwald can be, but shutting the street-side windows minimised the noise. The proprietors are wonderful - so friendly and helpful (and so kind about my attempts to practice my abysmal German). Hotel Tschuggen's place on my "must return" list was secured by the unexpected presentation of a home-made chocolate cake - complete with candle - at breakfast on our second day, which was our son's birthday. That kind of magical, personal touch is priceless, and very much appreciated.

The owners are the best People to take care for you. They do everything you ask and it goes along with a smile, they are always so happy and friendly i love it! The rooms aew quiete good, its a bit old tho but that makes it very cosy. The breakfast is really really good. Just an overall of 4,5 stars for me!

We were not staying here but popped in to try Fondu for the first time which we loved. Very friendly staff who were helpful and generous to us.
