Although the location is quite close to the DVP, the room was quiet. Check-in was quick and the front desk staff pleasant and professional. The room was clean and spacious and the view off the balcony was beautiful (a nice green space with autumn colours). We got back quite late (almost 1am) and the bistro/bar was just closing up. The bartender welcomed us and sold us a couple of beers to take back to our room. The price was very affordable. This will be our go-to place in Toronto from now on!

Not accessible at all, staff weren't very helpful with the exception of a few associated with room service. Two fake nails were randomly found in a drawer. Not a huge deal, but still pretty gross

The room we were in was renovated and exceptionally tidy. The elevators were in need of repair as sometimes they wouldn't come, and other times the door wouldn't close. The service was lacking as checking in was a one minute conversation to get us in without briefing us on when checkout was. When checking out on a Sunday morning, the front desk was unattended for 10-15 minutes as people gathered and waited for someone to hand in room keys to. The rating of the hotel is accurate to life. If you're in a pinch, it'll do but if you can avoid it and look elsewhere that might be better, it may be worth your effort.

I stayed at the Toronto Don Valley for four nights. I was by myself and it was nice being able to go to the bar and grab some food, watch some sports and chat with the bartender, he was awesome and the food was too! (Loved the California chicken wrap). My room was clean and cozy. My room was a mix of the old and renovated to look modern. The only things that I didn't like were that there was no refrigerator in my room which made it difficult eating and drinking for four nights; and parking seems a bit steep at $13/night, although I don't stay in hotels often so I don't have much to compare it to. Overall, a nice quiet hotel with lovely staff :)

Extremely well situated, staff was courteous and polite and the cuisine was better then average.

Although rooms are comfortable the executive room bathrooms seem slightly dated. On a positive note the gift shoppe had exactly what I was looking for and had the best hours I've seen in a long time (closing at midnight!)..!!

All in all, this hotel rates high; 3 C'S, courteous staff, comfortable room, and clean! A MUST FOR YOUR NEXT VISIT TO TORONTO!

Upon arrival the hotel looked immaculate.. Customer service was really nice. The rooms felt more like a Motel 6 or Super 8. They could use some new carpeting. The pools were supposed to be heated but only the outdoor pool was and it closed at 10, ther indoor pool heater broken but closed at 11. I asked if they accommodated for the broken heater and let guest outside, I was told no. I only stayed at the hotel for the pool. My first time to Canada only for the night and it wasn't worth it.

The hotel can be difficult to locate. Google Maps thinks you need to go right on Wynford Drive off the DVP but you need to go left. As the place e is huge, with several ballrooms a d conference rooms parking was a bit sparse. The room is bigger. But the bathroom is a bit dated. The gym & two pools are great as well. Overall the stay has been great so far. :)

I can understand why it is a 3-star hotel. The rooms are kind of outdated and looks older, and older-styled. The hotel can be hard to find as it is amongst other buildings but it is pretty big when you're inside. There is a pool,a bar and a fitness room as well a convenience store. It is great for people who are looking for a cheaper room in Toronto area. I would stay here again if I was on budget, as it is a budget hotel.

Great hotel. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Nice amenities too (having a choice of indoor or outdoor pools in the summer is a huge plus). The hotel is a little outside of downtown, but the hotel is only a 10 minute drive from all the arenas downtown and just 40 from Niagara Falls. Everything is within reach because it is right on the Don Valley Parkway.

Lovely friendly hotel that is excellent value for money. Enjoyed a simple dinner and a beer.
When we checked out (mid day) Antone the receptionist gave us a key to use the pool area rather than walking streets aimlessly ( as our flight was not until 2200). Antone exemplified customer service and like all the staff we met did an excellent job with friendly demeanor

My fiancé and I stayed here last summer & loved it. We had the option of utilizing either the indoor or outdoor pool. Although we opted for the indoor one they were bothie equally beautiful. The indoor pool was in a recreation area with a gym, change rooms showers and a outdoor patio area where you can enjoy a beautiful trees area. Room service was efficient and courteous. We will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel, with super helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are basic for decoration, but clean and the beds are very comfy. Only complaint is that we booked specifically because it had a pool, but it wasn't well looked after. Sunday night the pool was very foggy and green. The kids were excited so we swam anyways, avoiding getting in their mouths and extreme rising afterwards. Staff was aware it was not good. The next morning after a wonderful breakfast we changed and ran down only to find the pool closed. I'm glad it got cleaned, but it would have been nice for them to do it while guests were sleeping :( It was mentioned there was a hockey tournament with lots of kids over the weekend, but does that mean no one checked it all weekend? Ew. Had having a pool not been the only reason we booked a hotel adventure for the night, I would have given it a 4.5 stars.

Not as good as in the past. The Restaurant is hit or miss. Great garlic chicken alfredo. Absolutely the worst lobster and tiny shrimp sandwich. Extremely low quality. It could have been better made by a 2 year old. It was on crummy wonder bread, with about 10 fries. Terrible!

When I visit Toronto for appointments at Sunnybrook Hospital, I generally stay at the Best Western Roehampton. This time, there were no rooms left, so I was pleasantly surprised to find another hotel located fairly nearby. The Toronto Don Valley is a very clean, modern hotel. We had wonderful service and I slept very well. The staff was very accommodating. Comparatively, it was more difficult to travel to, not being located close to any of the subway lines. It also did not have the restaurants or grocery stores within close walking distance. Also, the breakfast was not included. However, I found the decor to be more up to date and really enjoyed eating dinner at the pub and the buffet breakfast was delicious. Given that I generally only stay one night, I imagine that I will be staying here again in the future.

Loved it here. The hotel was amazing and they we're genuinely wanting to help. The colour scheme throughout the main lobby and restaurant was great. Very updated within a historic hotel. The solarium style pool was so cool. One slight issue is the workout gym had a locked thermostat set to 77 degrees; not sure if that was a joke by an employee but to say I couldn't work out in that heat is an understatement. It was a little confusing about payment; they only take credit card so when I tried to pay with my visa debit card (that I use for everything and run a small biz off of) they couldn't take my payment, not even when I offered cash. I will be back for sure; the delux king bed was great and the room was very well maintained. Thanks to Oswald for being a great bartender. Very impressed with the food choices. Thanks guys!!
