Hotel staff is great. Booked with a third party which gave us a “double room” which was not listed on the hotel website. The third party didn’t describe the room very well and it was very basic and not what we expected. Thankfully the hotel staff quickly upgraded us to a larger room with a view of the CN tower. They also gave us a humidifier to use in the room. Everything was very clean and it’s nice to see that they sort their garbage. Great location and we never had to wait long for the elevator!
A great choice for downtown toronto visits. The location of this hotel is amazing. Walking distance to Rogers centre, CN Tower, countless restaurants, bars, shops and more. The rooms are spacious and full of luxurious amenities, like automatic black-out drapes and the heated marble bathroom floors. High-end Asian restaurant connected to the lobby. Fully equipped work out facility with men's and women's steam rooms and a shared hot tub and lap pool.
Me and my family enjoyed our short stay.
They had nice and clean guest rooms. Staffs were friendly, especially Jonan at the front desk and the housekeeping staffs.
However, there were two female front desk staffs who should seriously consider changing their jobs or learn how to say basic greetings. What a manner! Both of them were so rude. They were the only downside of the hotel.
Very clean modern and trendy hotel. Rooms are large with walk in closet area and amazing bathroom complete with large shower and soaking tub. Heated floors were a nice surprise. Great artwork throughout hotel and in room. Automated drapes and do not disturb light. Light fixtures are cool and lightning options include under sink light for bathroom that works well during the evening or for lighting the bathroom at night to find your way in. There's a concierge service, but we did not utilize this. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall great hotel.
We stayed over the weekend and we had a great experience. The location was great. All the staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. The room was very comfortable. It was overall fitting with our expectations.
The only thing that I would say I would improve is the restaurant selection. I personally would not recommend any of the restaurants. The Sen5es coffee shop use to be pretty good, but has lost its lustre and changed.
However we realized this pretty soon and we stayed away from them. Given the great location there are many options around, so if you don't mind that, it is a great choice in downtown Toronto.
Clean, comfortable and not too far from attractions. It's a short walk to Rogers Centre and Gretzky's is right across the street. It's close enough to shopping, yet just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.
Booked this hotel to stay at after our wedding reception. I was very impressed with the service and extremely satisfied with the customer service even when we checked into the hotel at 3AM. The room was very clean an we kept. Also a congratulations card and chocolate covered strawberries was waiting in the room for us. We felt very welcome and it was definitely the best night we could spend after getting married. Plus the heated bathroom floors was unique and amazing. Overall great experience. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a perfect way to get the quality of an elegant hotel with a boutique feel. Heated bathroom floors! Robes and slippers. Pool, gym and sauna. Incredible service. I can't praise this place enough!
My partner and I stay at the Soho Metropolitan Hotel every year for a weekend in April to catch some Blue Jays baseball and to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel management has been very good to us by adding an extra treat to our room for us to enjoy upon our arrival. We also always receive a hand written card from the General Manager which is always a nice touch. The rooms are great but the bathrooms are AMAZING. Very luxurious and fit for a gal who likes some extra space while getting ready for the day or night. We always grab breakfast at Senses Cafe and this is the only part of the Soho Met preventing me from giving this review five stars. Senses has a great atmosphere and the food is mostly great. The service however can be hit and miss. During our latest experience, our server seemed checked out and was quite slow to get some of our small requests (like ketchup) to our table. The hotel's proximity to the Rogers Centre is perfect - in fact every year our window faces Blue Jays Way so we can easily see the crowds from our room. Overall we always enjoy our stay at the Soho Met and can't wait to return next year!
Great food, wonderful service! Can see why people like it easily
I was there for a work networking social. The food and drink was decent and service was ok too. They could have put the drinks table inside the room too as there was enough room to do so instead of us going outside the room too grab our own drinks. They probably noticed that so they started walking around serving drinks afterwards.
Very nice rooms. Clean. Walked into classical music playing. Bathroom was amazing. Warmed tiles are a world changer. Tub is spacious. Electronic blinds are really fun!
The hotel is really great, no problem with the amenities and the suite. Almost everything is top notch, I just dont understand why they decided to go cheap with the toilet paper and the tissues. I felt i was back in my high school with the cheap paper roll that scrap your ass when you wipe.
Soho breakfast buffet at Senses comes with coffee/espresso options, juice, eggs and omelets made to order, a mini buffet with lots of good options for meats, fruits, yogurt, cheeses. Service is always good, and the chef is not only talented but has a great sense of humour. Highly recommend.
