Was at a small event in their lounge and bar on the ground floor / basement and found their atmosphere to be quite nice and welcoming. The interior has a really open, modern feeling to it with double height ceilings which is always nice for a place that isn’t that big to begin with. The hors d'oeuvres are quite good as is their drink menu and it seems to be a relatively unknown place so it wasn’t super crowded on a Friday night. Would recommend for a place to meet before dinner or a drink after work.

Went to OCHO for a wedding - excellent venue. Food was great. Cozy/intimate setting. Service was good. Easily accessible downtown. Only reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5 is not a lot of bathrooms on second floor, and servers making a little bit of noise in the back while people were giving speeches.

I have nothing but great things to say about the OCHO, from the perspective of their bar / lounge (I have not stayed at the hotel itself yet). There is a great, relaxed atmosphere that is paired with exceptional service. The food quality is fantastic and the drink selection is impressive. If you're there on a Wednesday, you can take advantage of the $5.75 2oz cocktails. It also makes a great place to go out with a date or with co-workers. I highly recommend it!

Great location, interesting cozy venue for a small to medium sized party or event. Food is excellent, especially dessert! Makes a great stop doing Spadina for drinks and a bite. Great for larger, talkative groups.

I enjoyed my stay at Ocho Hotel.
PROS: I requested a more quiet room and was put at the back of the building away from the street. My standard queen room was pretty good. The bathroom was clean, the bed was comfortable enough, and the air conditioner worked well. I appreciated a free bottle of water as well. I needed ice, and the gentleman that checked me in got it for me and brought it to the room. I found everyone to be very friendly.

CONS: I didn't bring shampoo or body wash with me because I was away for only one night. The only soap in the room was the little bar soap for the hand sink. I also found the blinds to let in too much light. Another curtain layer over the blinds would ensure a dark room to sleep in.

I did enjoy my stay and will recommend this hotel to others!

Ocho is a great hotel. I was here for a wedding, which turned out to be one of the best I've ever been to, partly because of this great venue and staff. It's modern, city ambiance with wood and stone walls, huge windows and modern, sleek bathrooms. Everyone kept saying how delicious the food was! The rooms are also very nice - big bathtub, well-lit sink area, and a quirky bed placement in the very middle of the room. It's a very romantic venue!!

I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. The gentleman at the desk was too interested in his phone conversation to check us in until we finally were about to walk away. There was a wedding taking place so we had to use the stairs and back entrance to get to and from our room, which was totally OK with us, BUT the stairs were so dirty and cluttered. You had to literally navigate around the clutter on each landing to go up the next flight. Also, the room had little to no lighting. I would not recommend this to hotel to anyone who plans on reading, writing, doing their make-up, or actually plan on matching their outfit for the day because you will not be able to see. The one tiny desktop lamp does not provide adequate lighting. Furthermore, when we went to go grab a drink at the hotel bar (not the night of the wedding) we were rudely told we could only have one. It was 11:26 on a weekend!!!!

Planning a work party at this location, staff is extremely helpful and accommodating, very professional, replied to all of my emails and questions promptly. The space is super chic, rustic exposed brick and wood beams. Great selection of alcohol at the bar. Perfect venue for any event.

I attended for a wedding. The ambiance was terrific for a small, more casual wedding. Great service and delicious food! Couldn't have been a better venue for about 120 people. Only complaint is it could have used a couple more bathrooms.

Location is okay. Parking around the area ended up costing $24. Room carpet was bad, bathroom was good, basic boutique Hotel, room size was okay ; could have been better. Service was decent. But lack of flexibility on check out and the check was kind of odd, under the stairs in the restaurant area. After 12 you have to come in from a side door.

Super sweet, cute, and hipster-y. I would consider having my wedding here. It's an intimate, woodsy sort-of space (I call them "modern rustic"). I had a meal here when I first came - and it was delightful. It's down the street from Kensington Market, so great location for a smaller, more close-knit wedding/large party.
