Underwhelming, small antiquarian bookshop that's ludicrously expensive. Would be cool to have in your neighborhood but definitely not worth it for a tourist, I didn't think.

I love this bookstore. The books there have been carefully selected as they are all interesting and well organized. The employee was friendly and asked if we needed any help finding anything he can help us. Also, the book machine was super cool! I love the sound of the book slamming down once you purchase one, it's so abnormal. The book comes with a cute white label with a sticker labelling that it was bought at the machine. Will definitely by stopping by again as the poetry section was interesting!

Pretty cool place, they got a book vending machine that gives vintage books away for a toonie. A bit scratched up but you're paying $2 for it and it's worth it, also a new book to receive.

Small bookstore with very cool options. Went there to use the vending machine of books and loved it. It was very quiet and they had cool music. Very cool place to spend a lot of time browsing of everything.

This is the kind of bookstore where I had to stop browsing five minutes into my visit, or I would spend hundreds of dollars. There was a book on medical photography and picture taking that was tempting, but I resisted. Ended up getting a novel and a millipede sealed in plastic. What? Yes, they had those. Nice.

Amazing bookstore. It's a must stop for me at least a couple of times a month, sometimes to pickup an interesting book and sometimes to mill around to find something interesting.

This is one of those "gems" you simultaneously never want to tell anyone about because its so amazing, and want to tell EVERYONE about so that you can join together and have a group book-hunting trip ( thereby justifying your prolonged hours discovering the stores many treasures as 'social time'). You'll end up with some incredible books you never thought you could, let alone would own. For any book lover, this place should be on your radar. But give yourself the benefit of ample perusing time. You'll need it, trust me.

My all-time favourite book store (and I've been around!). Every time I visit Toronto, I set a side *at least* an hour or so to visit the Monkey's Paw. Friendly helpful staff, and hands-down the most interesting selection of books I have ever seen. If you enter one building in southern Ontario, make it this one.
