My favourite ski/snowboard resort. Vast terrain, usually good snow coverage, lots of chairlifts to choose from, long runs for all abilities, and it's just a short drive from Calgary!

Nice ski resort. No parking fees and a shuttle is bringing you up to the entrance of the Lift/Gondel where you can also rent your needed equipment. The training staff was vey polite, caring, well organized and on time. Thank you Andrew for your professional and nice teaching. Really enjoyed it.

A great ski/snowboard option close to Calgary. A wide variety of runs with lots of options for every level. Due it height, it usually has the longest season of any of the other hills.

Awesome place to ski! Have been going there for years and love the open terrain. If you're a snowboarder beware some of it is pretty flat

The resort is a unique experience. However, the Customer service SUCKS!!!
- The staff are unaware of how many people the room is booked for. They will only provide towels and toiletries enough for 2 people (for example) even if the room if booked for 3.
- The rooms aren't actually cleaned, it seems that all they do is make the beds.
- One staff from housekeeping or front desk was extremely rude and decided to hang up the phone when asked nicely to provide water bottles that had not been replaced in the room.
- When we approached the manager, he would constantly interrupt us and not let us express our concerns. Instead of apologizing for the service, he would continued to belittle us.

For a resort that's almost $500/ night, some of the Staff and the manager here are NOT properly trained for the customer service industry.

Otherwise, the food and service in the Pub and Restaurant were great. I wouldn't recommend staying here if customer service is very important to you.

Great skiing with an absolutely outstanding view while you go down. There is always nice fresh powder. The only downside is that online it will say that the length of the mountain is longer than it actually is. There is one green run that takes you down to the bottom of the mountain but the rest just takes you down to the lift which is a lot shorter of a distance than what it says online.

Sunshine is a beautiful location and on clear days or when there is fresh snow it is decent to snowboard down, but there are a LOT of runs or kickbacks that you can really slow down or stop on, if you do not have enough speed, or you carve too much, or need to slow down due to lots of people around.

Definitely has a bit more of a beginner feel to it, with some smaller runs but being be able to run from the top of Goats eye, down to the bottom of the ski out is pretty impressive, and feels great. The Ski out is really nice to do any part of the day, and the views running back up are still nice in the gondola too.

Skiers in Alberta are probably divided by the Lake Louise fans and the Sunshine fans. I am a Sunshine fan. Great resort. Terrain is vast and awesome. Views are breathtaking on a clear day. Arrive early though, Don't want to park by the side of the road. It will take more than an hour to do your first run. Be there by 8:30 or go elsewhere.

As a snowboarder this is my least favourite of the larger mountains I've been to in the west coast of Canada. The lifts on the mountain are pretty scattered with plenty of great black diamond runs. Unfortunately, mostly short runs. On a nice powder day only the steep locations will be enjoyable. The flat parts would require removal of bindings. On an icy day a snowboarder will be able to make it down to the parking by riding. However, on a nice powder day snowboarders will have to take the gondola down. This is because of all the flat spots.

I have had so many good skiing days here over the years - one just yesterday, in fact - that it is now impossible to count them. It's the only resort in the region that does NOT make snow, it's all out of the sky. Louise is bigger, but Sunshine is my favourite. Go early to make sure you're in the parking lot, lunch early to beat the crowds, and wear yourself out on incredibly varied terrain. The parking lot might get packed, but with multiple mountains and areas at your disposal you'll find that the crowds spread out a lot - there's very rarely a bad lift line. My personal favourite run is cruising straight down the blue from the very top of the Continental Divide on a sunny day; you feel like you could turn for hours!! The staff is friendly and helpful, and come spring time every weekend is a party on the hill. I'm incredibly lucky to have this as my "local ski hill," because this is world class.

In my opinion the second best ski mountain in the Rockies. About 2 and a half hours away from Calgary. It is a huge mountain, and the views are incredible. They even have a lift that is heated. The lodge is cozy. This place is extremely popular, and the parking lot is not big enough for all the people that come.

Start early, pack food and more and stay late, just don't leave. Its a great mountain to explore with a variety of terrain. Go to the top for a nice long ride. We walked up the last 1000 meters. Step but worth every step!

I skied for the first time at Sunshine. I took a 2hr lesson geared to first timers. My instructor was Lia and she was awesome! Very encouraging and helpful. She was a lot of fun and the other instructors seemed great as well. Everyone was very friendly. Would definitely recommend lessons here.
