This cafe is an utter joke. Waited over 30 minutes with nothing but one glass of water brought to us. Over 30 min later a very average burger that cost a whopping 17.50 was brought out. Server was incredibly slow.

Was a nice stay in their cottages their staff was very friendly.. especially the girl in front desk. Highly recommended. Also we used the barbecue with free gas.😎

This place is just awesome. We rented the 4 person classic bungalow and it was a great experience. The bungalow was towards a corner of the place, reducing foot traffic. we could see the river flowing just beneath. They have barbecue area with machines and gas provided by the management. rally enjoyed the stay.

Nice, well-maintained cabins in a perfect location. Hiking trails start here as well as many others nearby. The staff is attentive and professional. The cafe and Chef Jose (yes, there is a chef!) will surprise you with the quality and variety of dishes. Some good beers on-tap. Try the trout - a specialty of theirs.

This place is a total dump. No AC and the rooms get hot. Old, very dated, the food is overpriced, the bugs eat right along side you. Pass this by and you will save money, frustration etc. Travel down the road further and there is a super nice log hotel. Up2date and worth the money. (No I am not with the other hotel.) This place claimed to be something is was not. They refused a refund so I am bouncing my charge.

This was my first time staying at Johnston Canyon resort and we would definitely do it again. My family and I stayed in the two room cabin and we loved it! The cabin was clean and rustic. Did not have any extra sheets for the pull out, but they gave us some the second night. Great service. Dissapointed that the trail was shut down when we were there though.

They are cabins. This is rated a 2 star hotel in some references which is accurate. They should not have a star rating because they are cabins. Our mattress was in rough shape but the room was quaint. We were steps from Johnston Canyon and had spectacular mountain views. We will stay here again because this is an awesome location.

This resort is a quaint place in the heart of the Rockies. The view from this location is wonderful. The cabins are definitely a bit rustic but I was expecting that and was very pleased. We stayed in a two person cabin which included a queens bed and a bathroom. There was also a gas fireplace for colder nights. There is a tiny TV but it only seems to work with VHS which we did not have. However, I didn't mind as I was there to enjoy getting away from the city and disconnecting.
The restaurant is fairly basic but decent. Nothing amazing, but again that wasn't really what we were there for. In the morning we took a walk up to the upper waterfalls. They were definitely worth the hike! The waterfalls were simply beautiful. We the path at 8am so we avoided many of the people. I would suggest going early because it can get quite busy on the trail.
All in all it was quite a nice place to stay, if not on the expensive side.response / report this review
