Don't visit, stay. We had two nights here just at the end of season and enjoyed a cabin and walks and the great dinners and breakfasts. We did a few hikes and managed to borrow Bear spray from reception as there are active Grizzlies in the area.

Love this place! Great view, friendly staff, great restaurant, free canoeing in summer, and there's real wood fireplaces in rooms!

Simply put, this is THE BEST place I have ever stayed!
The cabin itself was just so beautiful and the welcome gift we received was outstanding (we were celebrating our honeymoon and boy did they spoil us). The views of the breathtaking Moraine Lake from the verandah is goosebumps worthy too. The staff on the entire property were so wonderful that is it hard to fault anything they did. Jazz, our hiking guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable, which we appreciated. We dined at the restaurant both nights and the quality of the food was exceptional with zero to fault + the local selection of wine made me happy. The only negative is on our part we needed to have stayed more than two nights. The lake is just so beautiful and having 24/7 access to it from the luxury of your cabin is worth the price tag in itself. This is definitely my happy place and we will return in the near future (hopefully). Well played Moraine Lake Lodge, you truly made our stay so memorable. Thank-you!
PS, we booked the gourmet getaway package which included the king cabin, a three course meal both nights inclusive of tips and I could not recommend this enough. Exceptional value for money given the location, beauty and perfection of the whole experience.response / report this review -

Was here to shop at the store and get some coffee. Great service. Our checkout was quick. Wish they had a washroom for customers using the store.

So far we are enjoying our stay at Moraine Lodge. Our room is fabulous, has wonderful views of the lake and mountains and is very clean. The staff are extremely efficient and willing to help. Breakfast was wonderful. The downside so far is the fact that the cafe closes so early, meaning if you are not eating in the restaurant you have to buy a snack from the cafe to eat later in your room, or eat very early before the cafe closes. There is nowhere else close by to eat. A lovely peaceful place as there are no TVs and there is no mobile phone signal, however the wifi is good.

Two days into our 4 day visit. The lodge is georgous..rooms beautiful in an exceptional location. Yes you have to share the scenery with day tourists but it's not a problem.. you can't expect to keep this place to yourselves.it has not been intrusive. Staff are very efficient and friendly.food delicious..just as well we are walking it off.

We were there for the canoe. Amazing! It was about $100 for an hour. The food at the shop was of your bag lunch variety. The gift shop was nice but small.

Great place to stay. It has an incredible view. Very friendly staff, and excellent atmosphere. I recommend this for anyone who likes the outdoors but wants a nice cabin to stay at.

Gives an official feeling to a mountain retreat. It is on the pricey side but for the experience Its worth it. We come here all the time this because the lake here is personal and a hands on experience. The gift shop is nice also with clean bathrooms. Parking its a nightmare. When we first started coming here hardly any one knew about this place. Now it's crowded and the experience is not intimate anymore. It's become tourist central.

It's a bit pricey to stay here, but it is SOOO worth it. For our trip, we got one of the lake front cabins with giant picture windows and a balcony. Moraine Lake is a hot tourist spot, so it's worth it to pay the extra cash for really nice accommodations and enjoy the lake after the crowds have come and gone. You'll have the place almost entirely to yourself at sunset and sunrise. Plus, you get a free canoe rental! There's nothing cooler than canoeing on Moraine Lake. The room itself is beautiful and luxurious. Our visit was the most I've ever paid for a hotel room, but I have no regrets, and would gladly fork out the cash again. It can't be beat.

You simply cannot beat the views that you get when you're engulfed by the Rocky mountains. While this is strictly a tourist trap ($$$), it is still a must go to for the experience. I may not stay at the lodge again, but I'll definitely be back to walk around the beautiful Moraine Lake!

A lake close to Lake Louis. Do not forget to go here. Beautiful lake and panoramic view. The restaurant sells tasty food although might be crowded in peak season.

Personally find this to be an even better lake than Lake Louise. The drive to the lake is nice. You will find a small hill near the lake with view points on top, definitely attempt the climb and be rewarded with some breathtaking views of the lake. If you are going in summer, remember to carry your bug sprays or mosquito repellent. If anyone knows of a small hike around here, do share
