Pretty good Sheraton in the middle of the airport. I'm not sure why, but it just has a dingy feeling to me though. It is a Tram ride from the main terminal. The rooms have a great view our over the city or the runways. The Internet was excellent.
The only reason to stay here is convenience, but it's like buying a $18 beer from the minibar, only to find the beer is past it's sell by date. The hotel looks nice from the outside but it's old and worn. The front desk offered me a "super quiet" room, but I could hear my neighbors on all sides. The AC fan can't be set to remain on to minimize the noise, not does it control the temp. The bathroom is cramped and dated, and the door is literally paper thin like a mobile home. The bed is not horrible but not great. And the room clean.and front desk pleasant. This is basically a Motel 6 but walking distance from Pearson. Stay at the Hilton nearby and save hundreds, and get a good night sleep in a plush.
Very nice hotel. Although it does require an update. With a place that so clearly demonstrates it focus on customers and the overall quality of their stay. I was a bit surprised to see the dated fixtures in the rooms. No water conservation toilets. No low flow shower heads and the older spiral florescent bulbs that take quite a bit of time to get to full intensity.
All that being said! It certainly didn't over shadow the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. I didn't have a single bad experience on my stay. And would like to thank you for the experience.
Best start point for vacations.
I stayed there to avoid wake up during the night and drive with bad weather during the winter.
It was great, I arrived the day before my vacations with my family.
The hotel is simple but have a good room. Best off all is that it is located inside the airport, a few steps from chek-in.
The restaurant is very good to simple food, and the staff are very receptive.
I enjoyed my stay in this Sheraton hotel while doing a layover for an early flight. The front desk was very helpful and friendly, and the wait was not long at all for them to get our room ready for us. When we got to our room, it was spacious, clean and had water bottles cable TV, everything we could ask for!
The breakfast was very nice, the waitresses were nice and gave us free fruit cups to go with our meals! The steak and eggs I ordered was also great, the eggs had moisture and were cooked perfectly, the steak was at a medium well and had lots of flavour and juciness!
Awesome location at the airport. King size bed very comfortable with different types of pillows. Room is a very good size. Restaurant is awesome. Gym is pretty good also.
Beds were comfortable and service was excellent. In room furniture getting quite old. One of the glasses provided in room were used and dirty from previous guest. Bathroom fan didn't work, which turned the entire room into a steam room. Some of the bedding had a plastic-y feel. For the price, would definitely use a higher end hotel along airport road. Price doesn't quite justify the convenience of its location when compared to the qualities of other in-room amenities and condition.
Gateway is ideally situated in Terminal 3 getting there after a long flight had trouble with Rail Shuttle from T1, but checking in took 5 min whichever was great. Room was standard, clean, and appreciated the extra plugs as sometimes it's hard to find plugs to connect all our devices. Ordered room service be aware it's expensive I had a chicken sandwich with fries and soft drink $37. When I looked at the bill they add a $7.50 delivery charge and a 15 percent gratuity. Neither of which was mentioned when I called, I suggest you use the restaurant at the lobby. At check out I thought it was fast, the agent mentioned that she just got in and she hadn't logged into the system and that she would email my statement a day letter still haven't received any statement, now I have to call and follow-up .frustrating
My wife and I met another couple at the lobby bar. Service was pleasant and prompt but we had some difficulty with understanding the waiter. English was not his first language. He also seemed to have too many tables. The food was excellent. Atmosphere was very nice. It was quiet so conversation was easy. I would definitely go again.
We went to the restaurant for a business lunch meeting. Their menu was close to nothing. Only 2 types of burgers were available under the main meal section. The service was mediocre at best. The super expensive burger that I got looked great but very salty. Fries that was provided on the side was very good though.
Conveniently located at the airport terminal. Has a great gym and a nice pool. The food at the restaurant has always been delicious.
Very nice rooms. Always clean. Up to date. Extremely close to the airport.
Very clean. Reasonably priced for a downtown hotel. Unfortunately very free staff so very slow service. But the service was amazing.
Very nice and clean. Big rooms. Excellent staff. Nice lobby. Very accommodating. Convenient location.
Overpriced, but great facilities and decent rooms.
Truly the price does not match what you get here. If your business is paying for the room, then don't hesitate to stay here. If it is a personal trip, find another place as the price doesn't warrant the experience.
Negative elements aside, the room was clean and decently appointed.
The staff were cordial but not spectacular.
The kitchen hours were not clear nor did in room menu match what the kitchen was willing to provide (specifically for the late night menu).
The gym was really large, complete with standard fitness machines and then some. There is also a pool and I believe there was a hot-tub.
