I was surprised at the overall mediocrity of the food, considering the consistently high ratings.
I had their "Big Breakfast", which gets you scrambled eggs, toast, roasted potatoes, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. All of this for $15. I got the sausage, and everything was simply alright. I wasn't blown away by anything - it struck me as a similar quality to Denny's, where I would have got more food for less money.
My girlfriend had the classic Eggs Benedict, which is supposedly one of their signature dishes. It was initially cooked too much and had to be sent back. Upon the second attempt, the hollandaise had a strange, almost sour tang to it. While it was tasty, how anyone could say that was the "best eggs Benedict in Vancouver" is beyond me.
The service was fairly prompt, and the host was very friendly, but overall, I cant say I was too impressed, and I don't see myself going back.
Small quiet place that has alot of options for food. They have good sized portions which is a big plus in vancouver nowadays. The music isnt too loud and the lights arent top dim its a very elegant place tucked away. I would highly recommend it to others.
Friendly service today. But as a breakfast place they will decline to serve customers egg whites. It's not complicated Scoozis. Crack the egg, remove the yolk and join the 21st century. Some of us have health restrictions.
Never fails, always an amazing experience. The owner Michael is absolutely fantastic and will always greet you and even remember your name. Food is fabulous and the service is top notch. With out a doubt best place I've ever been and it's why I always come back. Thank you again and again.
Ate breakfast here twice with friends. Great vegetarian options. I loved how they accomodated a large group and had no problem splitting the bill.
If I ever visit Vancouver again- I want to go back to Scoozis.
My "famous" lasagna was pretty good .. some unique anise flavoring, and very creamy sauce. I didn't find the portions huge for the price, but that's ok with me since the food was good. The tiramisu wasn't great though, tasted largely like plain whipped cream. And I was surprised they automatically added a $11 tip (~15%). Are mandatory tips common in Vancouver? We were only a party of 2.
Walked by this place the other day and smelling bacon so I decided to go there for breakfast the very next day. I was early so there's only me and an old man in the next table. I ordered a coke but I'm sure the coffee is great (can smell it from the old guy's table). The food is also fantastic, the scramble egg, the bacon, the fruit and it's not very expensive, I expected it'd be around twenty but it's just about 15 buck. The atmosphere is cool, there're outside tables and the interior looks kinda old-school
My only regret is not coming here before the last day of our trip. We were impressed by everything about Scoozis! Incredible breakfast, huge portions, tasty coffee, and friendly & attentive wait staff. Can't wait for our next visit!
Great food and great service. Both time I have visited I ate the eggs Benedict which was great! Also the second time I visited with friends they gave us a nice plate of small apple pastries with fruit and honey. I will definitely visit again!
I had their Breakfast Deep Dish and it did not disappoint! Everyone at the table (4 of us) were all very happy with our meals. It was not busy, and the service was excellent! To top it off, the waiter (I think he may have been the owner?) brought us little dessert samplers. Definitely would return!
Had a great meal and service was awesome. Home made Apple strudel was very tasty.
Went here for breakfast yesterday and it was fantastic. Great food and since it seems to be predominantly family run, the service was excellent because they actually care!
I really like this place, feel so cozy and the minestrone soup is super yummy! I also saw they have the biggest cinamon buns I have ever seen, but haven't tried them yet :)
The restaurant has a nice family run charm to it (although I do not know if it is actually family ran). The service was efficient, quick and not overly bothersome. The spanikopita here tastes amazing and the Greek salad was top notch (very fresh), the lamb tasted great and the hummus was just right. I personally did not like my virgin ceasar very much since it was not spicy enough but, this was partially my fault because I did not specify how spicy I wanted it. It was also nice to receive a small desert of apple strudel on the house. When I crave Greek/Mediterranean food I will definitely be coming back here again☺️
