My gf and I stopped in to sit down to eat, but it was way too loud to hear and not very many available seats - so we took our order to go.

Usually have good service. This time aftet getting our drinks we we're never visited again for a food order and waited half an hour. Decided to just settle up and go to give our money to someone else.

Excellent spot on a nice sunny summer day. They have a very small patio but as far as location, it does not get any better than this. You are literally sitting right by the water on False Creek. Their menu is a bit limited because they dont have a full-sized kitchen like other Tap & Barrel locations but one of my favourite places to go to in the summer.

I came to Tap Shack last night and will never go back. The waitress took drink orders and I wanted my caesar only a little bit spicy. I enjoy a small kick but this was completely undrinkable. She forgot about our food and I had to flag down the bartender to get it. The waitress never asked if we enjoyed ourselves. Just terrible service. Do not bother wasting your time here.

Very good duck fat popcorn. But everything else we tasted was average. We were also disappointed that the desert that came with the dine-out-vancouver menu was much smaller than the normal version (although it was very good also). Pricy menu for what you get.

This place takes advantage of a perfect tourist location. The service is extremely rude. People were waiting for 15 minutes and then leaving after nobody attended to them despite of many free tables. When I mentioned that to a server I got an answer that "people can leave if they don't want to wait and that's fine". I have been there before, the food was just OK and we only went there because our daughter was hungry. We left and found much better place 5 minutes of walk away. Never will go there again and would not recommend to anyone.

I came on New Year's Day for brunch and thought they were closed it was so empty! They had great service, but I can't say the food was any good, which explains the lack of people.

I got the avocado and toast with a side salad. It was 1/4 of an avocado thinly spread over a piece of toast - very cheap and not worth the ~$11. The side salad was so soggy I first thought it was rotten. The one saving grace was the poached eggs were done perfectly. My partner got the veggie eggs Benedict, which came with some browning avocado and what he said was a "not very good" hollandaise sauce.

Overall, I might come back for a beer but never again for brunch. It was poor value given the quality of food. You could get much better brunch in downtown Vancouver for half the price.
