Checked in and asked for a late checkout. The lady at the front desk asked what time. We said can we have 2 pm and she said sure that wasn’t a problem. Next day at noon housekeeping knocked on the door to clean. We told her we had late checkout at 2. 10 minutes later the phone rings and I proceed to get a lecture on the hotel rules for requesting a late checkout. I said it’s not me who needs a lecture it’s the lady who checked us in. I was then lectured even more about their policies. Needless to say it will be IHG and Choice Hotels that will be receiving my $5000 plus over the next 4 years I will be in the area.

Had to be in town for a funeral, and hotel didn't have a bereavement rate. We stayed here before and were really impressed, but this visit I feel some attention could be focused on maintenance and cleanliness. Windows won't stay open and curtains broken from handle. The room we were in was not cleaned very well (a lot of hair on carpet under table, one of the bathrooms had hair on and around toilet and found food under sofa). On the plus side - bed was comfortable and shower pressure was good.

Room was nice but had a bad experience. On arrival we were checked in to room 220. When we got the the room we opened the door to find someone else's stuff inside of it. Called the front desk to find out that we were checked into the wrong room and we suppose to be put in room 301. Thankfully no one was inside the first room or that would of been extremely awkward. The breakfast wasn't the best either. Coffee was horrible and the eggs were dry too. Only good thing was the room

I wasn't there overnight so my experience is different than others. It is clean and well laid out. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all it was a good experience.

I booked a stay for 1 week and thus far have loved it here. The staff have all been wonderful since day 1, I love the room, hotel is pet friendly which is a huge plus for me. There is a hot tub, pool, gym, bbq's, office space, free breakfast, and I have a kitchen in my room. They even had a free waffle night on Wednesday which was great. There is a Los a ton of amenities very close by. I recommend this place highly.

Great place! After driving a few hours and hitting heavy traffic, my husband and I decided to stop for the night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room we got was fantastic, clean and modern. The pool was nice and open till late. The hot breakfast was nice too and included in the price. Had we not had to be back to work the next day, we would have stayed another night! We would stay again in the future.

Feels like home away from home. The front desk staff is very friendly, their included breakfast buffet has a great selection. There is an enjoyable patio, a pool opened late, a 24/7 gym and lots of room for lounging or meetings around the hotel. Near many restaurants, a main road with stores, and the highway for easy access. Surprisingly quiet area even in a street facing suite.

This is a great place to stay because it's so close to everything and you can go high end with the room choices too. We always get the 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen with a living room and fireplace! Breakfast is always great AND included. They have more than a "regular" hotel breakfast, too including choices of meat, cheeses, etc. BUT, the REAL reason we began staying here is that it is a truly NON SMOKING hotel! (Remember, you're in Canada, and almost all of the other hotels have non smoking floors, but as you can only imaging, you can smell the cigarette smoke when you walk in the front doors of those places.)

Great room. Unfortunately never got to try the bed as they failed to locate a crib for our 11 month old son as requested. According to the unhelpful staff, it wasn't her fault that someone didn't jot down the request. And at the end of the day it was only "a request". With no manager or customer service to be found we were quickly headed down the highway to another hotel with more useful staff.

Bottom line: If your looking for a place to sleep as a bachelor - have at it. If you're looking to get everything you requested - try talking to the wall. At least it won't talk back.

We had a wonderful experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Whitby. Our room was a fantastic value. I didn't realize it would have a kitchen, dishes and even a dishwasher! All staff were extremely friendly. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

What a great hotel. The service is great, the room is comfortable and has all the amenities, the shower is nice. Marriott went the extra mile to make our stay wonderful.
