Since the re-branding it's been spruced up a bit. The lobby is really nice and the staff friendly. The breakfast buffet is decent. We had a field view room and it was an off shape, very very narrow, but well appointed. The wall had significant damage on it and the entertainment unit had a lot of damage as well. Bed was comfy and the ac/heat both worked well. The entire restaurant staff disappeared while we were eating breakfast, which was strange, would have been really awkward if we had to pay, but we had voucher so it worked out fine.
Occupying the northern side of the Rogers Stadium, this hotel has a very unusual but interesting and fun location. Half of the rooms look into the stadium and half to the outside. Sadly our stay there was not during the game season but I would imagine the view would be fantastic. However I guess on a business trip! Of one of not into baseball, the floodlights and the noise of the game would be very disturbing. The rooms looking outside is overlooking the railway tracks - there's nothing to write about the views and you do not hear the trains. Friendly and good service. The bar staff were very good. Tried the room service couple of times and the steak was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection.
The location is convenient since it's a very populated area. Not too sure about the rooms as my colleagues and I were there for drinks. Service was really good, we got our drinks fairly quickly and the servers would always ask if we needed anything else. Overall, great experience, would definitely recommend in going for those who have not visited before.
Stayed one night In early September. Overall was of great value for us and can be for you too if you know what you're getting yourself into.
Room: We had a room on the 4th floor facing the stadium. The last couple of innings were going when we got to our room. Very cool experience, unlike anything I've seen before. Caveat though is that it can be moderately noisy in the middle of the night if they're preparing for a game the next day, as we experienced. Worth it for the unique experience though. Clean rooms, bed's are on the softer side.
Service: Friendly, efficient. Nothing much else to say here.
The service received once we were seated was fantastic and had an amazing view of the ball game. Drinks were fairly priced and our waitress did well to meet out needs for our large group. Unfortunately what hindered our time was the food. Appetizers started out well but the fancy mains failed to deliver the quality that was expected. Would have had a better meal getting one of the sandwiches or burger. Fries were amazing and the most enjoyable thing on my plate. Friends' pasta was fresh and made in house but her chorizo was flavorless. Place was clean and an excellent environment.
Rooms are up to date and we'll appointed. Staff is nice and friendly. Renovations currently going on, so bar and restaurant are a little awkward. But from past experiences, they are usually very good as well. Food is reasonably priced and there is a good selection of beer.
Worth EVERY penny! Stayed for 3 nights. Parked car and didn't have to drive once as everything you need is right there. Loved being able to sit and enjoy a drink while watching the Jay's practice. Room was HUGE and VERY clean. Staff very friendly. Workout room and pool great! Definitely will go back!
The hotel is very nice the reason why I give it 4 stars is because when we went to the pool the alarm was going off so we went to front desk and told the staff they said they were going to send someone down to fix the problem. After 30 minutes of waiting no one came we looked around for staff and one guy we saw we asked him if he works here and told him about the problem with the alarm he just kind of ignored and left. I understand everyone has different tasks but you all work in the same hotel. It was very rude. We ended up not going. The beds are so comfortable and the view is very nice. I liked how much complimentary things were in the washroom. Also, you could see the stadium if you are a blue jays fan it's good to come here and can see the stadium. I would come again.
The main draw at this hotel are the stadium view rooms. It is a unique experience to be able to watch the Blue Jays play right from your hotel room. Other than that, the hotel is quite average for its rate, the amenities and overall quality. The rooms are not well kept with visible wears. Both the bathtub and bathroom sink we're clogged. There were dirty spots on the walls and window. The Club Lounge access is pretty average, the food is definitely mediocre. Service wise the staff is friendly but not helpful all the time. You are essentially paying the rate for the baseball games. If you are not into baseball I'd recommend other hotels in the area.
We got the room to both have accessibility to a bunch of great spots as well as catch a couple of jays games.
This is a view from the executive field suites. They are quite expensive but you can have up to 10 people in a room and if you have several people over to enjoy the game it quickly covers the cost of tickets.
Plus you can bring in your own food and beer!
The room itself was very comfortable. The sleep was great. Post game it was a little loud as the other guests continue the party until a little later into the evening
Everything is very clean and well maintained.
Upon a check in the house staff did not have our room prepared but the hotel comped drinks in the bar as we waited.
A nice hotel with a great central location. Rooms facing the street on lower floors come with the sound of trains passing by below but nothing too loud. Overall a good sleep and the restaurant in the lobby does a great breakfast.
Loved the pool and hot tub. The room we stayed at was spacious bathroom too. Not a huge fan of how far I was from the elevator. I'm a heavy sleeper so it didn't matter but close to the go train. Though the trains weren't loud, I'd imagine light sleepers might be woken up from the sound. Overall very satisfied with the stay.
Amazing staff! The woman who checked us in was very kind and upgraded us to a beautiful suite with two floors and an absolutely amazing view of the stadium. They were even so kind to allow us to have a late check out for 1pm. The room was gorgeous and clean! There's a Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel for those of you who are adicts like myself! Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back in the future.
The Renaissance was a great hotel. We received a free room upgrade and had lots of space. The app allowed us to check in early and we had a notification when the room was ready. The room service was fast and we could walk anywhere. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great hotel!
