The environment was decent but the lighting was a bit too dim. I got the "spicy" vegetarian enchiladas (Rojas) but they weren't spicy at all. Needed to use the hot sauce. The portions were quite small. Service was good.

Amazing gorgeous homemade Mexican drinks and food. Servers and bartenders are so caring and lovely. A fabulous way to spend your time.

Food was okay, but portion sizes too small. A friend ordered a taco dish and we were surprised that they looked like they were from a children's menu. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but they barely put any sauce in the container! After we left, we had to stop and get a snack elsewhere as we were still very hungry. It's doubtful I would go back. Poor value.

We've come here three times now for work group lunches. The service is top notch, and not just because we've come to expect sub-par service. They really know their menu and the ingredients, they have yet to screw up on substitutions to a dish for our large group. The food is fantastic and hot. Great atmosphere - clean bathrooms, floors and kitchen (we had a peek in). I highly recommend. Get a table by the open windows - a nice breeze comes in and it's very bright.

I really like this restaurant. It's a good restaurant. I find sometimes the service can be a little slow, and perhaps it would be nicer if there was some air conditioning during the sticky Toronto summers, but all in all, I always really enjoy myself at this restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic and have never been disappointed with any dish I've ever ordered, and the staff are friendly and very helpful.

Great little place! Pretty big inside with lots of space and very clean and fresh looking decor. Patio is big enough for a few tables. Great food and drink. Has a kids menu which is good value and fairly large portions. Only issue I found was the ladies washroom only had 3 stalls and none of the locks seemed to work properly. Also they only had 1 soap dispenser for 4 sinks! Other than that great place and I would go again.

Absolutely stellar service. Only ordered the guacamole as we visited the restaurant to try their extensive tequila list so I can't really comment on the food. The guacamole was VERY good though.
What I can vouch for is the service and the drinks. Our server was fantastic, recommended some tequilas that we probably would not have tried without her recommendation and they did not disappoint. She was lovely, friendly and helpful. The margarita we had was probably the best I've had and the tequila shots were top notch. Such a good time and I will definitely be coming back.response / report this review -

Food was very delicious and "nearly" authentic something I can rarely say about any Mexican restaurant in Canada. Prices are above average but acceptable. Very courteous staff. Restaurant is clean and large which nice to have on that part of downtown. Tip: avoid the tortilla chips, they were horrible, only downside of the cantina really.

Service was no where near as slow as some have said. I had a pleasant experience, timely service, and the food was incredible. One could argue it's a little pricey, but I think you get what you pay for. We dined here before going to the theatre. We arrived at 6:10, had drinks, starter, entree's, and coffee/dessert and were out at 7:45 putting us in our seats with a few minutes to spare. Would visit again, and would definitely recommend to anyone.the margarita alone is worth it!

It was our first time at this restaurant. It was recommended to us as more of an authentic Mexican place by a friend of mine who is from Mexico. The food was very good. We had tacos and enchiladas and they were really really delicious. Even the beans and the rice were genuinely tasty. The guacamole was soooo good and they have homemade chips which were great. The service wasn't amazing but it was decent. Would definitely go back.

Service was a little slow, we went here for dinner before a second city show and it took a while to be able to ask for the bill. My taco portion was smaller than I thought even when the waiter said it would be big enough for dinner. Tasted good though.

Not impressed at all. Food was too bland too oily and not up to my standard, my wife couldn't eat her food so I ended up eating myself since we don't like to throw food away. I've been to Mexican and Latin restaurants that are literally 10x better than this one. It was too pricey for the quality they offer. Although my experience wasn't good at all the manager was nice, he asked me about the food and I was very honest with him. Personally I wouldn't go again.

I love this place because it is near work. They make really sugary Margarita's and their Mole is not to shabby. You will find the service courteous and respectful.
However I've been going here off and on for 4-5 years. The food was delicious when I first started going, but now is clearly mediocre and I wish they would bring back the freshness and life into the food.
The time it takes to get a meal, pay the bills, get a menu and get orders take way too long for a lunch hour meal. I know this is not a factor of singular waiters, it seems to be more a factor of poor organization or management.
Negative elements aside. Definitely try this restaurant restaurant. I recommend anything MOLE, Tamarind Margarita and any Ceviche.response / report this review
