gorgeous setting. good food. lots of space.
I havent stayed or eaten at the Bayside but i do enjoy their excellent gym and swimming pool which is a great value at only $20 a month for membership.
Allows dogs, nice rooms with a sweet restaurant. For the price of this hotel is a great deal.
Dog friendly hotel right on the ocean. Clean, quiet, air-conditioned rooms with balconies that are senic yet offer privacy. Staff are friendly and egar to help. Well appointed hot tub and fitness area but semi-outdoor pool could use more frequent cleaning. Lots of parking and convenient beach access. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms updated and clean. The breakfast was fresh, hot and good sized portions.
Perfectly located on a spectacular beach. Very comfortable beds and a restaurant that serves a hearty breakfast.
Over priced for the room. Good patio and food
Beautiful views, the towels we exquisite and the beds super comfy. They have a great deck to eat, just steps from an awesome beach and the staff were all super friendly.
Good location, good price, clean with very nice staff. Very basic rooms and amenities. Breakfast wasn't included.
Let me begin by saying the reception and bistro staff were fantastic. And that's the only good thing ( that and the view from the bistro is worth mention.). The room we got was kinda smelly, the wall had yellow stains above the toilet, the tub was plugged so when you showered the water would barely drain. The housekeeping was half-assed they made the bed and wiped the counters but left dirty glasses in the room and didn't replenish the coffee bar.
We booked online and the listing said no view (as all the ocean view had been booked already) when they say no view they aren't kidding my balcony faced the back of what looked like a dirty old air conditioning shed and a smoke-butt covered tar roof that looks like it is obviously not picked up after.
The cherry on the top was the ANTS . Not one or two but a bunch of them all over the room including in my suitcase. We went to the front desk and the girl appologized and said she didnt have another room for us as they were fully booked and gave us a 20$ voucher for breakfast (she did what im sure she thought was her best but honestly I expected some kind of discount on my ant infested room for the inconvenience and as I had nowhere else to go but back to the ants)
Thankfully the breakfast was covered as the Benny's were terrible and super vinegary so I had to return them and ask for something else ( i settled on a basic breakfast so as to avoid more disappointment).
They have a very large gym (for a hotel) with a squashball court and maintained change rooms. However the swimming area could use some maintenance as the windows surrounding it look like they haven't been washed in a long time and the hot tub jets don't work.
The view from the bistro is amazing and I imagine from the rooms overlooking the ocean it would be as well so book waaay ahead. They said one side of the hotel is under construction. I would hope they are doing some serious renovations (and possibly an exterminator).
I was extremely unimpressed and will not be returning to this location. (For a "Resort" it is a very disapointing experience and way over priced, I have had a better stay in a 65$ motel in Golden and would have probably been better impressed by the Travelodge across the street)
Food's not bad at the buffet. Fantastic view. A bit cold. Piano needs to be tuned - badly.
Room shook constantly because of the kitchen vent fan below it. When I inquired about it at the front desk the staff was aware of it and they reassured me it would stop at 10 pm.
The room was great but the shower was awful. The showerhead put out more water than the drain could handle and the popup plug would close from the weight of the water so you'd have to keep your toe under the plug to keep it from closing. The pinnacle was that the water wouldn't stay one temp. Scalding hot to cold and back in less than a minute. Otherwise, it's a beautiful hotel. The restaurant was fantastic with great food and quite a view. I'd stay here again, but would ask for a new room.
