  Lovely clean hotel, comfy bed, quick check in and nice view of the ocean from nearly all rooms. It's also close to the Lighthouse restaurant and other eateries, as well as near to the float plane terminals. We stayed there with a 3 month old and staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend it!

  There's a truly full kitchen , almost like a one-bedroom apartment. Very family friendly. Highly recommend.

  Awesome little place, owners were very nice and able to accommodate what we needed. Would highly recommend. Next time in nanaimo I would stay here again!!

  The place is really nicely arranged, location is great, parking ok - only one spot left for me and my GF when we arrived, nice staff and easy check in/out.
  Overall no food included, no AC, so in the hot weather it was literally pain to sleep. only two loud fans. I would expect something like this in a Hostel but not in a hotel where I paid 185 CAN per night. Not worth the money.

  Location is amazing and easy to get to. We primarily had interaction with Marlene. She was accommodating and kindly showed us various places to go and to eat nearby. We stayed in the King's room. It felt more like a beautiful apartment and a home rather than a motel. Clean and luxurious. Would definitely recommend and if we are in Nanaimo again, we would most certainly come back again. Thanks for the hospitality, Buccaneers Inn.

  Everything worked except my ice cream melted in the freezer in the in-room refrigerator. View was good (i asked for a harbor view), parking was fine, location was easy to get to.

  I called the front desk and was told that two room rates at 99 $ and 125 per night, I said I need that one @125/night .
  
  15minutes late, I arrived and checked in, the front desk charged me @ 139.00!
  I asked her why charged me at this rate?
  She said, mistake.
  
  But I do not think so!

  In terms of inns and motels, the Buccaneer is on par. Close to the ferry and surrounded by local pubs and cuisine, our experience was sufficient. Regarding decor, the rooms were dated but equipped with all expected amenities and cleaned well. The beds were comfortable and the communal balcony boasted a harbour view.

  I have stayed there on two occasions. Both have been excellent. Very clean, centrally located and quiet. Strongly recommend.
