This is the worst dealership experience I have ever encountered. I brought my Audi SQ5 in on three separate occasions over the past month in order to fix the MMI screen. The first time, they diagnosed that the radio was damaged so they ordered a new one UNDER WARRANTY. The radio did not work and I brought the car in for a second time. They held the car for a day only to get a call that we would need to reschedule the appointment on another occasion (1.5 weeks later). The third appointment, they offered us a rental car and told us it would take a couple days to fix. We asked if the rental and repairs were 100% covered under warranty otherwise we would not proceed. They assured us everything was covered under new vehicle warranty, and they would contact us right away if it wasn't. They did not provide us with any quote or estimate. I received a call 2 days later, in which they told me that nothing was covered - not even the rental car! They said it was a trailer hitch that was installed on the vehicle. They DID NOT FIX THE CAR NOR GIVE US AN OPTION TO FIX THE CAR. Instead, the service manager and staff involved were very quick to point the finger. They even blamed us for damaging the new radio that was never even installed! This leads me to believe whether they even found the problem. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life! Never have I received this kind of service from any Audi dealerships in Toronto. They are now holding my car hostage until I pay the hefty bill that was never authorized and a car that is still broken! It has been one month since I brought the car in for the initial appointment and nothing has been resolved. Unbelievable.

Thank you so much for looking at my Golf so quickly today on an emergency basis. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and Sherry's help today. I will definitely be using Peterborough Volkswagen in the future!

So to be quite honest I was a little hesitant to go here for service. I have an older model Jetta with electrical problems and a mechanic I know told me that it wasn't simply the (inexpensive) brake switch. I have no VW dealership where I live so I had to find one in a larger town which had me reading the online reviews. This dealership in particular had a number that aren't flattering but are helpful to those who don't know (thanks). Still I think it's wrong to judge sight unseen. Sure the reviews can help but they can also be misleading. I figured, what the hell? I'll try Peterborough VW out. My major fear was the tendency of some dealerships out there who don't see you regularly who upcharge you on everything under the sun. Suddenly a "simple" problem becomes a massive bill. I sat in the lobby fearing the worst. Well I can happily say my fears were unfounded. It was the "simple" brake switch after all and the guy at the desk explained that to me. Evidently I was also missing a rear bulb which they replaced. They even replaced the battery in my FOB. When all was said and done I walked away with a very reasonable bill and a great feeling that I had been looked after and not taken advantage of. While this was my one and only experience with them I can honestly say I have nothing but good to say about this dealership. I was treated fairly and everyone there was both helpful and polite (Everyone said hello which I thought originally would be reflected in my bill. Not so). I would not hesitate to go back there nor recommend them and I hope to see them again when I get myself into the position to buy a newer VW model. I sincerely look forward to it.

Amazing.
Ever since I stated dealing with these guys I'll never go anywhere else. My '16 Golf had a recall on the car, being a popular year and VW selling tons of them the part was on backorder. They diagnosed it anyways, found a leak and managed to rush to get the part in In a DAY. Plus they hooked me up with a rental for the meantime. Service is always amazing and the sales staff is great too. Will always recommend to anyone.response / report this review -

I have a newer model Audi which had been serviced in Markham up until we moved to Peterborough last year. The annual maintenance was performed at Peterborough VW under warranty so no charges, no issues. I damaged my drivers side mirror and knew this was going to be a costly repair. I dropped the car off on Tuesday Dec 13th and got the estimate the next morning and authorized the work. I called back every 3-4 days to get an idea of when my car was ready and promised, during my last call Dec 19th, to have it back before Christmas . Asked for a loaner car if they couldn't get the work done promptly and they said they had one coming in, but I never got a call to get the loaner. Christmas came and went and I called back on Tuesday Dec 27th and they told me the car was in the shop now to be completed and they would call as soon as it was ready. I happened to be shopping across the street and saw my car in the lot, no call, no heads up my car was ready at 2;45 pm that day. . I stopped in and waited for the service manager to complete the paperwork and I paid and was out of there. I spoke with the service manager about this teams lack of responsiveness and inability to keep their clients informed of their cars status. I was met with a blank stare, honestly ???
Having worked with car dealers with impeccable service history such as Uptown Audi in Markham, I am disappointed that this is what I have to deal with in Peterborough. Next time I need work, I will make plans to be in Markham and have a professional dealership look after my car.
We were thinking of a VW SUV to replace my husbands Highlander but we've changed our mind on that one too..response / report this review -

I have been a customer for over 6 years and I can honestly say that this is the most dishonest and greedy car dealership I have ever seen. Their service department is more concerned about making money than actually serving their customers, to the point that they will tell you that repairs are needed on your car which are not even necessary, not to mention that everything is extremely overpriced. If you are going to buy a car in Peterborough just don't buy a Volkswagen. Great cars but awful service.
